Well ... this grandpa is my grandpa. He was the kindest, most beautiful, supportive and understanding human being I have ever met in my life. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to be able to find these same traits in anyone else. Maybe in Michael, but now, he's gone, too ... just like my grandfather. I wish God didn't rush to take them by His side so soon. :'(
"Extreme drama"? LOL I don't know. These two lovers here, Michael and Lily, love each other to insanity. They're not able to stay away from one another for too long. There's plenty of drama ahead, but I can't keep them apart for too long at one time. I need them together from time to time so that the next dramatic moment can feel even more intense. :)
Yes, I think they'll end up together ... eventually. The Universe would shatter to pieces if their love didn't last. :))
It wouldn't have made sense, imo, if Lily's parents hadn't been bothered by the age gap between Mike and Lily. You're right, nobody would want their teenage kid to be with a middle aged man, no matter who he is. In order for the story to feel real, the characters and their feelings need to feel real.

This is an excellent story. I usually hate stories where Michael is a man whore but you have made his anguish so palpable that I feel nothing but sympathy for him here. Good job! I never thought I would see myself writing that in response to a plot line in which he cheats. Although I keep forgetting that technically he and Lily aren't even together. He really fucked up big time knocking up Debbie again I'm not so sure Lily can forgive him. Hopefully she can see what a mess he is and how badly he needs her.

Michael slept with all those women, but trust me that he isn't a man whore. I didn't try to depict him that way. I understand why you may think he's one, but he didn't do what he did because that's who he is. It doesn't define him. The meds took control of him. They made him dillusional and planted the seed of jealousy and frustration in his mind. The last thing he wants is to sleep around when he knows he has Lily. So ... I'm glad you decided to give this story a chance. I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the chapters.

I think this is the reality many of us, younger and yet not-so-young female fans, have painted in their dreams while growing up. We had Michael, we felt him close, and yet, he was unreachable. I know some readers may have the "age issue" as a concern, but truth be told, part of this story was our reality. We fell in love with him as teenagers. I'm sure many of us would have tried to seduce him, had we ever met him ... in spite of this age gap.

Oh my God, Badgirl!!! I accidentally deleted your last review. I swear I could scream right now. I am so sorry. I wanted to respond, but I deleted it instead. Here's what I replied before I screwed things up.
It's not that Michael's having fun with other women ... He feels betrayed by Lily. She declined his invitation to join him on the tour in spite of the fact that she knows what touring does to him ... how lonely it makes him feel. The pills are making him take the wrong decisions. When he's under their ... "spell", all he feels towards her is resentment. He wants to take revenge. I don't know if you noticed, but he's only been with those women AFTER taking the pills. He wouldn't have cheated, had he stayed clean. I hope I managed to explain the situation a little better.

She lied to him because she wanted to take revenge for how he treated her. He tried to free himself from her, he hurt her, so she lied to him. Keep in mind that she's only a teenager. She doesn't think things through like an adult. She acts on impulse. Had she acted a lot older than her actual age, she wouldn't have sounded credible.

I'm glad you became a fan of my story. It means a lot to me that you left Lily's age aside and focused on the plot itself ... because, to be honest, I'm not even sure this story has anything to do with age. It's more about a woman and a man who were born at the wrong time, a woman and a man who are trying to live their love when age isn't even an issue for them, but to the outside world. :)

Yes, it's sad, but I keep thinking ... at least, they both get to live their dreams - Lily not only got to meet her idol, but she had him fall in love with her while Michael wants a girl who loves him for himself rather than for the superstar the world sees. In spite of the fighting and the madness going on between them at the moment, I think they both win in the end.
