I was twenty two years old when I met Michael. I was in my final year of a bachelor’s degree in journalism at Loyola University Chicago and an active senior columnist for the university newspaper. Life was good. I had close friends, wonderful parents, great grades, and a fairly suburban-metropolitan future waiting ahead for me. 

I guess what I’m trying to explain is that Michael didn’t come and rescue me from a miserable, boring life. He stepped into a work in progress. Or maybe I stepped out of it? Hindsight is twenty-twenty, they always say.

It's been three years since Michael and Diana got married. So much has happened, and more is on the way! With the launch of his new album 'Invincible' just months away, Michael has returned from a two month trip to Europe with his children to finalize recording sessions and take care of some release work. He also discovers that he has two major problems and he works hard at keeping them hidden.

Diana is still a successful businesswoman, wife, mother and best friend to her two sidekicks, Marie and Jasmine. She notices a change in her husband and doesn't take it lightly. Will she tell her husband how she really feels? Or will she bury her feelings and love the new him?

Cameron has been incarcerated due to his 'acts' in the previous segment. After putting him behind bars, Michael and Diana think everything is ok until an unexpected event occurs and turns their world upside down once again.  

Will Michael and Diana be able to weather more storms? Or will they finally admit that they are just not meant to be together?

FYI: This story will also lead into the 'This Is It' era.

'Why? Why'd he do this to me? He can't--He can't leave me. No he can't. This is not happening...' Melody sniffled, burying her face in the pillow. Few minutes earlier, her eyes couldn't leave the TV screen, waiting for new information about This Is It Tour. 'This might be the last tour of him. Can't miss it. I CAN’T MISS IT. Damn, he might be 50 years old, wearing an outfit that makes no sense, but still hotter than your 20-year-old supermodel boyfriend. At any age, at any century, girls still drool on his feet. What a man!' She mumbled to herself, biting her fingernail if she had any...."What do you mean? The tour is cancelled? Why? Why? He's what?--What did you say?" She yelled, which made her father sitting next to her give her a wtf look. She glanced at the newspaper on his hand. Though her misty eyes made it hard to read anything at the moment, she could still read the big font 'Wacko Jacko is DEAD' next to the picture of him, pale and weak. Her father already knew this before the news on TV. Before he could say anything to comfort his daughter, Melody run like an arrow upstairs, readied to let out an ocean of tears in her room.

...She’s holding a picture of him, her favorite one. He’s smiling happily. That beautiful smile.... now is so gone.

Note:  There will be a sequel to this story.  I have decided to rewrite it instead of using what I have written so far.   I thank you to those who have reviewed and I have taken those reviews into consideration.   I love writing Michael and Marianne but if she wants Michael back it is going to take a lot of work and then there is Paris....you know she don't like her Daddy being hurt....just one of some ideas I got going on in my head for the sequel.
