I'm trying to wrack my brain and remember if I ever commented on this story lol. If I haven't I'm sorry for being a silent reader, and if I have I'm just catching up with the story now and I'm learning that I've missed a lot. 

Looks like Michael's about to make his breakthrough and Chevonne is moving onto a better job. Good for her/them. 

MI can see where Chevonne is coming from not wanting for Michael to continue to 'work' for Joseph, but I can also understand why Michael can't pull away completely yet either. Fear is powerful and if he were to just drop Joseph the consequences could be fatal. 

Looking forward to more and I promise to no longer be so quiet.

You have! I remember you. I've been so slow updating it, it's terrible! I'm just glad people are still reading it lol. Michael has progressed a lot from the beginning of the story and Chev has broken away from her safe shell too a little bit.

Joseph isn't one that will just disappear and things could get dangerous if Michael tries to rebel against him.

Hopefully I'll update again this weekend.

Part of the fun in writing fanfictions is seeing what people have to say. If they aren't saying anything, there goes half the fun. I'll always update my stories regardless, though because I like to write.

Re: my previous review.  There is always a way out - it just often involves taking actions that aren't all that desirable. Like living with one of her relatives or his mother's relatives. I don't think Joseph would try to cross his in-laws. It's about humbling oneself....if the producer is as big a shot as he claims to be, he has other studios. Plus, savvy drug traffickers know better than to work with people on probation or parole, because that person is more likely to rat on them and is more likely to be watched by law enforcement. Joseph should know that.

 

Wait, what?! Only one more chapter? Now I'm sad - this is one of my favs. I'm glad Chivonn is finally really putting herself in for other positions....and Michael? Well, dude could've knocked on Chivonn's door instead of smoking. >.<

Joseph also knows that Michael would never rat on him. His loyal sons and other goons would come after Michael and everyone knows that except for Chivonn. There will be more about Joseph's motives soon and Michael's journey to evade them.

Well this story ends here. But there's room for another story. I feel like if there's going to be a next chapter for Michael and Chivonn it should take place in a new story. Because it no longer fits the title here. Michael's no longer the 'roommate from hell' just out of prison. He's evolved from that. Chivonn's no longer just Bryan's sister holding the fort down, she's evolving from that as well.

As far as Michael smoking with Bryan... He knows that if his career takes off he may not have time for things like joy rides out in the middle of nowhere smoking weed with his best friend. That's just what they like to do and he wanted to indulge in it one last time.
