What an emotional chapter! I understand that people are mad at Lizzy for not being alert, but then again it takes just a second of inattention for accidents to happen. Unfortunately it happens all too often in real life, but it doesn't make the parents monsters either. Just my opinion...

Thank goodness that Lindsey was there to save little Katie. I think Lizzy should deal with whatever is going at her work so she can fully be there for her daughter. There is no reason for either of the parents to create battles over custody, each should have their equal time with the baby. And Lizzy had to expect this was coming. Michael was going to find someone eventually just as Lizzy did. It will only create heartache for Katie to see her parents fight. 

But then again I understand drama is necessary for the story to go on lol!

Can't wait for next chapter. Merry Christmas!!

You are so right accidents happen with children and then its typical for the blame game to start  hopefully when tempers cool they will all work it out.  thanks for reading

...that a complicated situation that I really don't know what to say. But accidennts happen all the time, and there was Lizzie's fault because of her carelessness. However, no parent want their children to be hurted. I know Lizzie must also suffer a lot from what happened. If she kept being blamed, gosh...Like I said, accidents happen a lot and everybody should be grateful that Katie was ok. And Lindsey was right, Michael should stop blaming Lizzie.

Michael and Lizzy should understand that Katie is the one thay should focus on because every child deserves to grow up with both parent.
They should not fight so hard over custody.

And gosh, as long as Lizzie'll still be there to love and take care of her child, there will never be another mommy to Katie. Even if Lindsey is a good woman, but like people always say, blood is thicker then water.

Anyway, thank you for the new chapter. I am looking forward to reading more.

You are correct accidents happen with children especially toddlers then the blame game starts.  hopefully everyone will take a deep breath and do whats best which is give Katie a loving drama free life and not one filled with fighting.  thanks for reviewing.  I hope you had a Merry Christmas and Have a Happy 2017

Lizzy is an insecure bitch. She needs to realize that nobody will take her place as Mommy. Just because she's having a hard time lately doesn't mean the previous X number of years of her child's life don't count. She has her faults but it's obvious she loves Katie. I disagree with some of the reviewers who think Michael should have sole custody and Lindsey can be called mommy. No she should not, Katie needs both parents to be there for her and Katie will know the difference between Lindsey and Lizzy and that her actual mommy abandoned her and it will cause her nothing but pain. Just because she has a job committment  that is taking her overseas temporarily does not mean Michael should take her to court. He is being a bit too hot headed about everything too. Emotions are running high and logic is running low. Katie isn't a newborn infant with no memory or attachments. What's obvious is that Lizzy and Michael need to live separately and split custody. They will get along better if there is some distance at this point. 

What Lizzy doesn't seem to get is that Lindsey is a good person and having Lindsey as another loving adult in Katie's life will be an additional support for her as she grows up. Look already at the positive effects Lindsey has had on Michaels lifestyle. It's obvious to everyone who sees the couple together that Lindsey isn't going anywhere. So Lizzy shouId be happy with the positive changes in Michael to set a better example and should encourage Katie and Lindsey to have a good relationship. Lizzy is still Katie's mother and Lindsey has to respect that too, by not crossing any boundaries like getting Katie to call her mommy. I hope this near drowning will serve as a reality check to Lizzy that she needs to rearrange her priorities, stop the childish behavior and get over herself.

thank you for the thoughtful review.  you put alot of thought into it.  You are completely correct on all points.  theres too many emotions and insecurities going around and for the first time Lindsey is the secure one.  Michael's afraid of losing his child as is Lizzy.  Lizzy needs to get her head out fo the sand and focus on her child.  Maybe a break will be good for them all.  No worries it will all work out.  thanks again
