I felt so bad for Nina this chapter. Usually you know I chew her out for this attachment she has to Marcus. But I'll give her a pass this time. Even though she admitted she hasn't shown Michael her real self and has been hard on him.
Marcus deserves any beat down he got. He thought he was going to be the one beating Michael and he got his just desserts. He so damn irrational thinking just because Michael has money he's paying people left and right to be with him and do shit for him. Get over it ya lost!!!! I can't see any scenario he would get custody of Mads.
As for Michael and his impatient ass. He needs to go sit down somewhere and chill his narrow ass out. Jumping to conclusions has never fared well with him and Nina and here he is in a full blown tantrum over assumptions.

Man...I honestly must say, I can see BOTH MJ and Nina's points of views and feelings though I'm sick of the both of their asses. Lol. Unfortunately, Nina just has to accept that Marcus is not the same person he was and that nothing will stop him from doing these shananagans unless she takes him to court for full custody. She should have BEEN done this once he accused MJ of molesting Maddox. Her not doing so, only emboldened Marcus and weakened MJ, which has led to this.
Here they both go again, not effectively communicating and making rash decisions about family matters instead of talking about them like adults. Nina shut down and now MJ is checking out, all based on their warped ass ASSUMPTIONS... SMH.
When Nina got home, she should have told MJ right then about Marcus threat of custody and they BOTH consulted their lawyer to deal with this and HIM in the courts. Screw this little theatrical performance he's putting on in the hospital. He's bs'ing for sympathy.
No, I don't feel bad about James kicking his ass, BUT, it's obvious from what Nina and he said, that he planned this and provoked it. He got a reaction, which is exactly what he wanted-and HER attention.

Nina does need to accept that in reality her, Michael, and Marcus are never going to all just get along and be friends with one another. And you're right Marcus could have seen a meeting with James as an opportunity to get Nina's sympathy. And Nina does need to deal with these custody threats immediately instead of pretending they aren't a big deal.

Wow...it can only go downhill from here it seems. MJ is in the dog house, James is...hell, he may be in two dog houses because his wife may leave and he may be spending time in prison.

I understand Nina's upset, but her brother is a grown man. Michael could have told him "No," yes, BUT, James could have simply found another way to get to the location and Marcus. It's obvious there's bad blood between the two and always has been. So, Nina blaming MJ solely is not right. Now, she can go see Marcus, but I wonder what lies he will feed her for sympathy? She's already feeling guilty. Next thing you know, she'll be sneaking around with him at this rate. Lord,I feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster which is sitting at the top of the slope waiting for the drop.
Also, HAILEY gonna have a fit once she finds out that another woman,namely the same woman her husband has been sneaking around with bailed him out of jail...Momma Chambers is about to be busy with phone calls and talks from both of her kids about their respective relationships and drama.

Yeah James is in the hell house lol Hideki is still technically his personal assistant. He doesn't have a replacement as of yet (he can't really because Hideki's already threatened to expose him if he fires him) so basically it was a last resort kind of thing. He could have went to Bill, but Hideki is the fastest at getting info. Bill is honestly just head of security it's not his job to handle Michael's legal/business/personal affairs. And sweet Annalise would've been to slow and shy to get anything done.
More to come about James...
Michael kind of was the sober one and he has a whole team of security that could have stopped James. Though it wasn't really his job to, being that James is a grown man, if he had wanted to prevent this altercation he could have which is what Nina is mad about.

OMG. This was intense. You portrayed Michael perfectly.
I have no sympathy for Marcus' stance at all. He's a grown ass man not some "troubled youth". He took no regard for his own son in any action that he took and that's the worst part about it all. He never thought of the repercustions on his sons psyche by making those accusations "Love makes you crazy" "He wasn't thinking straight" NOPE. It was selfish as hell. No if ands or buts. Truth be told tho I don't wish him actual death. I hope he survives for James' and Michael's sake. Even though the story they told the police will be voided once (or if) Marcus talks.

Good, you know I was so worried that he would have slipped so far out of character in that scene that it just would have been a mess.
You're right about Marcus but at the same time even the best men make bad mistakes and his one mistake has cost him literally everything and driven him to insanity. Nina is the only one who remembers who he was before this and thats where her sympathy is going to come into play- AGAIN.

Well Michael of course wasn't going to show up without his bodyguards and Marcus would've known that so he brought in what few flakey friends he could gather. We're about to learn more about James in the next chapter - I'll just say that. This eruption of a violent character we haven't seen before stems from his past that we'll learn about. Fighting is some (dumb) people's way to relieve stress and James had a bit more pent up aggression than he realized and it went too far (he needs to take up boxing).
Javon did call the cops and they were on their way so they knew someone was coming that could help Marcus - they didn't want to be responsible. Especially Michael. If he does die, they better hope it happens before he can open his mouth and TALK.

Nina, so far, has handled the situation with more care and understanding than usual. The old Nina would have thrown Michael out, packed the kids up and been at her mom's place with Michael's number blocked (just on the simple fact that he was drunk - NEVERMIND all the other stuff that went on). And yes, Michael's finally rationalizing the situation from both sides instead of just his own though now it is, like he said, too late to go back and try be civil now.

I'm sorry but after all the lies Marcus spread about Michael molesting Maddox, he deserved to have his ass beat. Can't say I feel too bad for him. Unfortunately this will only make him more resentful and unhinged and adding fuel to the fire is not a smart move on Michael's part. Marcus has already prove n he is capable of anything, he has nothing to lose. Nina is going to flip out for sure although I would hope at this point it would not be out of sympathy for Marcus so much as concern for Maddox and also Michael being hurt or arrested. I just hope Mike tells her the truth before the media finds out.

Marcus had it coming, but he wasn't expecting to get it from James. We'll see how Nina takes this, or if Michael even tells her at all. Michael should've listened to his intuition and not went at all. He is just lucky at this point that it wasn't him hurt or arrested.
