Wow Michael is being way too harsh. To fire her over something minor like that after everything she's done for him? Yeah she shouldnt have lied but her education really is none of his business.
I'm assuming he will come to his senses once he starts to miss her. But if I were her I would be reluctant to come back because what's to say he wouldn't fire me again next time he is pissed off at me over something stupid?
You can't treat people like they are disposable and then expect them to still be your friend.

I agree, but still, Michael is hurt cause he trusted Em and she lied to him- even if she didn't do it on purpose. He regrets afterwards of course, and she understands.
