I completely get it. And yes, she did warn Michael specifically about how he treats Sky and she said the only way Sky could tear them apart is if HE let's it happen.  She also told him that he has a month to start making improvements or she's out. Not that she is leaving him. She gave him an ultimatum but she never said she wouldn't stand by him. Lol I read all the reviews for the last chapter and it seems that some readers think she dumped him or was too harsh but I disagree. When a loved one is doing something wrong you don't enable them, you call them on it. He needed a wakeup call. 

Is a month enough to time to fix all their problems? Absolutely not. But it is enough to me to make an honest effort to start. 

Don't worry girl, trust your own instincts about how the story should go. This is the sign of a great story when everyone gets really passionate in their reviews. Take it as a compliment to how awesome your story is that we are all throwing opinions left right and center. You've got everyone on the edge of their seats!

Carsten has a point. Michael's primary concern is still about Carsten leaving him. He needs to stop worrying about his relationship with her, which is actually pretty solid, and focus his energy into repairing his relationship with Sky. Im not sure what happened in his past or is so broken in him to make him feel insecure to that degree where he overlooks everyone else in his life in favor of one woman but it isnt healthy. This is the same fundamental problem that caused him to resent Sky for her mother's death: putting the woman in his life before his own daughter. Especially when that woman is clearly in the wrong like Halle was. If he had put Sky first all those years ago as he should have, it would be Halle he carried the resentment towards instead of Sky. And honestly he should resent Halle for fucking up their daughter. I can't blame Car for giving him an ultimatum, who wants to start a family with a man who treats his own kid that way? Plus she loves Sky too. He needs to focus on Sky and himself for a while, no a month won't solve all their problems but will allow them to get a good start on rebuilding their relationship. If she sees him making an honest effort Car isn't going to leave him to flounder alone, she is just stepping out of the way so he can find the right path cause right now he cant see anything past her. That's true love right there. Putting your own needs and wants aside for the sake of your loved one, thats what Halle should have done instead of what she did to Sky. Michael stands to learn a thing or two from Car, she is very wise for someone so young.

I still feel bad for Mike though, he is fundamentally such a sweet man and he means well, he is just so broken :( I hope this time apart isn't too hard on him. He needs love too.

Oh wow. Michael has some real making up to do with Skymand Car. Let's hope he can. One month is really not all that long.

These two chapter had me BAWLING. No wonder Sky is the way she is, poor thing!

Author's Response: Up until I read all of these reviews where everyone is proclaiming their sympathy for Sky, I never really realized I was creating her story with that strong a degree of sadness but wow, guess I have to go back and reread these two chapters. What she went through with Halle tugs at my heartstrings but I didn't realize just how vulnerable I've made her. I am always appreciative of you all's feedback and as always, I will definitely incorporate into the next chapter the views and concerns you've all voiced.
