They are both too hard-headed and it's only hurting them. That Michael is blaming his guards for his accident shows just how much of an addict he is. As much as I hate the idea of them not resolving this on their own, I do wonder if Nina's mother would be the best person to talk some sense into Michael. He sees her as more neutral, at least.
While Michael is acting like a wounded adolescent, Nina is so guarded that I feel as though she'll need to show some tears before Michael will get that she is in love with him.
Hope you're staying safe through this weather! I'm hoping the blizzard proves the forecasters wrong and steers clear of my area.....

True about the hard headedness. Ninas mother would make a good mediator. She's neutral and she knows her daughter better than Michael does. The whole reason behind declaring a divorce was to get a reaction out of Nina and that didn't work.
My town is about a 1/4 under water right now lol luckily I live in a hill. Warmest Christmas that I can remember and it hasn't been too cold here. I hope the blizzard skips your area too though. Snow is pretty but ugh driving in it is suicide.

Sigh. Smh. Well, I'm not surprised about any of this. That man has taken and taken bs from Nina and her harsh and coldness towards him too many times, and he always came running begging for her forgiveness; not this time, and Nina is shocked. Truth be told, her pride and arrogance are shook. She's had Michael on her string, but now he's flipped the script and torn the damn pages up! Lol.She can't believe it. Her mom warned her numerous times that it was only a matter of time, before MJ stopped taking her shit.
Even with that said, Michael has a problem that he refuses to acknowledge truthfully. Now, he may have "won" the battle right now about his three kids, but he's about to get a wake up call, because what's done in the dark, always comes to the light.💯⏳
He's about to mess up on that tour, and be literally legally forced to face the truth, BC either Marcus is going to put out that molestation story to the press, and MJ will lose control, or he's going to get even more depressed about his breakup and hit the pills and liquor TOO hard,thus an accidental overdose.⏳y87;

Michael has taken a lot of shit, but so had Nina. They have been equally shitty partners to each other. Michael flip of the script was really a reverse psychology type of thing trying to get emotion out of Nina and it didn't work too well for him and now he's even more hurt than before.
Nina needs to check Marcus, have her brother beat his ass or something because he's way out of Line and the fact that he's Maddox's biological dad is just not a good enough reason to keep him around anymore. That guy she had 6 years ago is long gone. He's changed for worst after prison and there's no getting him back at his point unless she wants to lose Michael for good.

Now Nina. I was kind of glad that Michael did what she didn't expect. She can't always have a million excuses for her worthless ass ex and not support her husband. How long did she think she would be able to do that really? And still her stubborn ass didn't fight for her marriage because of stupid ill placed pride. Pride can't keep you warm at night or love you girl. Michael did both.
I was so heartbroken when he was there with the kids but stayed away from Maddox because of all this. It's sad. That means Nina didn't sit him down and tell him what his father did was wrong.

Ugh girl I don't even know what to say ugh!!! Michael is being an asshole he's got himself seriously convinced that he's fine and everyone else has the problem. Nina and her pride... All Michael really wanted when he said the word divorce was for her to beg and plea and show him that she loves him. Which again is effed up on his part.
She needs to woman up and talk to her son. It sucks to have to hear that your parent is a worthless tool, but he needs to know that Michael is one who loves and cares for him the most.

Such a mess. Michael needs a reality check....blaming his security because he was drunk driving and then wanting to divorce Nina because she calls him on his bullshit.....he is so wrong it isn't even funny. Nina has her share of blame too but if he actually handled his shit like a man they would not be in this place. She did handle everything so far very poorly but he is just as much to blame for their problems.
I can't believe Nina got turned on after their huge fight. Lol. Then again I can. I swear conflict is foreplay to these two. After this chapter, if they do make up they are both going to injure each other by having too much sex. Their genitals will fall off.
Something bad is going to have to happen to Michael to get him to sober up. Like almost dying, unfortunately. He is just too far gone. Not sure I see him going through with the divorce though...these two like to say and do things to hurt each other. If he is leaving with the children in a few days I can see him reconsidering the minute he sees their faces. Hell he already is. No way Nina is going to back down though.....

Michael does need a reality check and soon. He's so deep in denial that he can't even see the truth himself. If he would try to be understanding about Ninas situation instead of avoiding it through alcohol maybe it wouldn't be that bad. Though she hasn't handled it in the best way.
I would totally get turned on fighting with Michael. His angry face? OMG....
Michael was subconsciously hoping that when he said divorce Nina would beg and plea and do everything she could to stop him, but when she didn't... Now he's in an even more messed up situation. Of course he doesn't want a divorce for real.

I knew it! The sick, selfish bastard! You'd harm your own child out of jealousy and some twisted sense of possession. Nina is a possession to Marcus, and so is Maddox. Ugh.
I still blame Nina for this mess, because you couldn't tell her NOTHING when it came to this man. Her HUSBAND couldn't, mom, brother, nor best friend. She always had excuses and defended him and his actions despite their wrongness. She used Maddox as a crutch to keep Marcus in HER life. All that shit she was talking is just that. Michael has every reason to fault her. Hell, she's talking about they're through; that man has certifiable reasons as to why he should've been left her, truth be told.
For Michael, his butt needs rehab. He's no angel. Yes, he's hurt by Marcus's actions which have negatively influenced Maddox, but drowning himself in liquor ain't changing shit. He and Nina should have been on the phone to a lawyer regarding custody and visitation of Maddox, as well as, contacting the authorities to preempt his bs allegations that he's surely set in motion.

Exactly!! Marcus is disgusting right now and Nina is to blame she's let him ride for this long knowing that his intentions are anything but PURE and now he's totally out of control and on his way to potentially ruining Michael's career.
Michael does need rehab either rehab or general counseling because he can't handle his emotions healthily on his own.

What Marcus did was absolutely wrong in every way and what Michael said was true but he doesn't have the right to remove Marcus from Maddox life , Nina and Marcus just need to have a serious talk with their lawyers and just work everything out and fix the problem and keeping Marcus away wouldn't help because Maddox loves him and Marcus loves him too and Maddox will get older and miss his dad if she takes him away you just can't replace someone's parent and it's not like Marcus is doing something to endanger his child , if anyone here had a child you know you just can't rip the child away from his dad unless it was something serious like life threatening and I understand Michael is upset but the way he deals with it is horrible

It's a tough situation to be in when stepparents and biological parents can't get along. Only bringing lawyers in can really solve that at this point. Marcus is being a bad influence on Maddox right now so that is grounds for Nina to keep him away from his father for now until he can come to terms with her marriage to Michael and respect it.

Would it kill Nina to show some compassion for her husband? She is just plain cold to leave him like that when he is so heartbroken. Substance abuse or no substance abuse.
I can't help but feel that if she was half as worried about Michaels feelings from jump as she was about Marcus', they would be in a better place. I can't blame Michael for blaming her.
That being said, Michael needs rehab BADLY. And he is stubborn as all hell so not the easiest person to deal with in this regard. He only makes things 1000x worse with his self destructive behavior if he had just taken a moment to talk to Maddox himself or together with Nina I think this mess would have been minimized. If he shows the boy how much he cares for him he is eventually going to win over Marcus because Marcus doesnt really show that. It may take a while though for Maddox to be mature enough to realize.
Nina's bullshit enabling of Marcus' behavior has to stop NOW. It isn't her fault that her sons father is an asshole, and she can't control his manipulations. But she can control how she deals with Maddox and perhaps also how much access Marcus has to the boy. Enough is enough.

Yes it might kill her lol. She sees his substance abuse as the BIGGEST issue when really their biggest issue is Marcus. Not to say that it's okay for Michael to turn to substance abuse to deal with the situation, but there would BE no situation if there were no Marcus.
But yeah, he's too stubborn to realize what he's doing. He should have been the one to follow Maddox to his room and talked to him because he would have known the right things to say unlike Nina who was completely blindsighted by the things Marcus planted in his head.

The other given is I can count on Nina giving little or no credence to the fact that Marcus is a piece of shit. What Michael said about Marcus was the truth. The sad part is Mad got to hear it at a time he's extremely vulnerable.
I hope Nona doesn't just take the fact that Marcus is trying to implant in Mads head that Michael may have been in appropriate with him. Nina needs to cut Marcus off like NOW. He's not a good influence on Maddox biological parent or not. She has a hard time realizing that Marcus is not the guy she met over 6 years ago. He's changed and he's changed for the worse. And Michael does need rehab and if he doesn't want to do that he needs to then take a REALISTIC look at what he is doing with drugs and alcohol and realize that it's not OKAY. Doctors don't prescribe you sleep meds so that you can sleep through your problems.

I'm torn. Michael needs rehab; at the same time she's given far too many ultimatums. Before she can give this ultimatum, I feel like she needs to establish full parental rights of Maddox. Audiotape Maddox telling her what Marcus was asking him, to show that Marcus is a leach looking for blackmail. She's been telling Michael she loves him, but she's really got to back him up more. Everytime she sets a boundary with Marcus, he's violated it in some shape or form. That says she needs firmer boundaries. What's worse than not having a bio-dad in Maddox's life? Having parents at war and one trying to make him feel unsafe in his own primary home.

Awww I'll get back on top of things eventually. People never think to do things like audiotaping conversations with their kids when these types of things pop up. Nina doesn't even realize the severity of what Marcus could potential do to Michael. But it's high time she set firm boundaries with Marcus before he does something terrible. You know what, I'm just going to keep it 💯. The ONLY reason Marcus wanted to even be bothered with Maddox was to turn him against Michael. In his eyes, since Michael "won" Nina, he's going to punish him and Nina by using Maddox against him and to drive a wedge.👿👹
I felt heartbroken for Michael when Maddox treated him like he did, especially since Michael has been nothing but nice and loving to him and treated him as his own.👿👹
I also blame Nina here, because she should have checked Maddox right then and there, and called Marcus to inform him that he would not get him again, then take him to court for full custody and no visitation; he is a detriment to that child, and I can't help but think his next stunt is to accuse Michael of child abuse or sexual abuse, and use Michael teaching Maddox how to properly shower as his "evidence." I blame Nina, because even her own brother and mother told her Marcus was bad news and to cut ties, but no...no one can tell her what to do. Her stubbornness and unwillingness to listen to anyone else views of Marcus will be the almost, if not complete downfall of her family with her husband.👀👂

I busted out when Michael tried to be flirty after that comment. He's so used to justifying substance use that at this point, he doesn't have a problem, it's just everyone else who has a problem. And since he surrounds himself with enablers, it's just his wife who has a problem. smfh. Showing up to see his kids and his wife's ex after taking a sleeping pill was a ridiculous move. I'd have taken a caffeine pill, if anything LOL.

ROFL, isn't he ornery?! And right no one but Nina argues with him about substance use. Probably because he is just right on the borderline of abusing it. He's not like he says a complete drug addict that can't function day to day without it, but the more he turns to it, he'll end up that way. And yes, taking heavy meds for a measily two hour flight... dumb.
It was Nina's idea to let Maddox go so ultimately her fault right? Marcus is about to get BEYOND toxic.
