I knew that there was more to that haterade Risa was spewing. She was doing way too much for it to just be her trying to protect Chiv from getting hurt. It reeked of jealousy. Michael did do her wrong but build a bridge and get over that shit. They don't seem like they would have been a good fit anyway.
Chiv needed to check her friends ass. Michael tried his utmost best to keep things cute and ole girl was just pushing buttons like it was a ATM. She got what she was digging for and got put on front street. Also while Michael never mentioned he dated Risa, Risa's ain't said shit to Chiv either so it was not just on him.
Ooooo promise ring. That's so cute. Although I think for their age it should be engagement ring. On the real neither of them are in a place to commit to either of those. Not because of length of time but because they need to fix a lot of things before they can work fully.

There could be a bigger reason why Risa hasn't said anything. (Like she hopes Chivonn just leaves Michael forgets him and then she can nab him later - in her wildest dreams) Which could have been why she deliberately brought Sean to Chivonn at Michael's concert.
You're right Michael is about to turn 30, promise rings are for young love, but an engagement ring is too serious and he's just trying to find something to put on her to show his claim on her.

Unlike most other reviewers I can't say I blame Risa for her concerns. I would say the same things if my bestie started dating a guy with that past. A good friend can't help but be concerned, he has a history of treating women poorly and that shit he did to Tatiana is terrifyingly scary. He also treated her sister like crap. Sure, people can change but change is hard, and many times they don't. I'm sure she is very worried for her friend. She also has no way of knowing whether Michael is sincere. That being said, she needs to realize that Chivonn loves him and her constant nagging is only going to push her away. So it is time for her to shut up and give him a chance. In time, Michael's actions will speak for themselves. Also it is a tad hypocritical to be so judgemental when you yourself are dating a straight thug.
I do wonder exactly what Michael was referring to though with his chapped comment.....I'm guessing that whatever it was, it happened before Risa actually knew him. He's an attractive guy, maybe she tried to pick him up and he went for her sister instead. Lol can't blame her for not exactly going around bragging about that. I do not get the impression she would touch him with a 10 ft. Pole anymore though, hopefully I'm not wrong. Would hate for Chivon's best friend to have designs on her man.
