Michael is having the opportunity to live with a nice girl like Gabby. Yes .. After suffering with Ellie he caught himself enjoying Gabby's company. But I think getting married is a serious decision and should not be taken by emotion but because it is something both want. Michael and Gabby did not know each other well ... I think Mike is being cute but it looks like he wants to get away from his past and Ellie.

He is basically running away from his past. He just wants for get about being hurt now that he got Gabby.
