I loved this chapter too. The foreshadowing of Marcus's be is clear. Michael still has that same insecurity that he needs to let go of. Thank goodness though, that Nina finally got the picture about Marcus. He was bad news then and he still is.

They are really trying and compromising and it's beautiful... Nina's mom has always been a diamond and she sees the potential.
Priya is ALL Nina. Lol, so Michael has his work cut out for him. Paris is funny because she's definitely MJ's twin-she milked her sisters trouble moment for all it was worth. Lol. Her acting was mint, like her daddy's. That head turn of non-forgiveness was gold. Michael gave them a good lesson though because they need each other.

Now, Mikes family is another problem altogether. Yes, they don't like her, except Janet now, but it's based on what MJ was telling them during their marriage and her actions during the marriage, divorce and after.
Nina never really gave them a chance either or really tried to get to know them. She was standoffish and blunt, which in turn, in their minds, proved their ASSumptions right and vice versa.
I think, if he can get his family and Nina really together and talking to try and understand each other, the relationship between not only them and her will improve, but it will stop having Michael feeling pulled between the two sides or feeling like he has to choose.
