Matthew really disapoints me. First when he didn't stand by Michael's side and pointed the finger at him. But I can understand for Matthew. He was just a kid and also a victim back then. And I believe, with Michael's beautiful heart, he can forgive Matthew too.
But now, it seems like he has touched the lowest of his life (or maybe lower in the future).

It just...it makes me really sad that Matthew is like the kind of people were present in Michael's life :(. Well I don't want to judge when I still can't get all the story behind so I am looking forward to reading more.

Thank you! I'm so glad that you see the real-life parallels there. I feel like I'm kind of letting go of a lot of anger and frustration by having my character yell at the guy, and by asking that loaded question - why?

It was a miracle that Michael didn't go insane in that mad place. He has to reach his limit from all he's been through.
To me, this chapter is pretty sad. It feels like all the hope and faith HAVE TO fade away to Michael.
And I really like the way you've written this chapter. There are more details and description, especially about Michael's thinking and emotion.
