Yeah, there was no way I could miss his inappropriate actions during the group therapy. Good thing there aren't as stringent ethical guidelines for priests in counseling, or else that level of self disclosure and railroading would not fly.
Author's Response: Unfortunately, there are no guidelines. But having a license and being an ordained priest does come with certain expectations and rules from higher, spiritual source. Welp...the conversation didn't go well at all with Blythe and Michael at all! She flipped unecessary on poor Michael I understand the way he approached the subject of God on her was wrong but at the same time he was trying to be friendly geez.before he became a priest he had to have a life as well not only reading the Bible in church can be suffocating I believe she owes him an apology.ugh hoping soon I'm going to like her smh. Wow - that was entirely inappropriate of him to call her out like that. Any therapist knows that people open up at different times. To try and force someone to open up, let alone in a trauma support group, can be retraumatizing. I'm beside myself. He's a horrible therapist. Horrible. I don't care if he wanted her to contribute; therapy isn't about what the therapist wants....what a controlling asshole.

Author's Response: Yeah, Father Joseph is very transparent in his ministry so self-disclosure and self-insertion makes a perfect since even know it's risky. This seems to establish trust among the group so they can open and share their issues. Everyone seems to be on board except for Miss Blythe unfortunately.

Author's Response: Oh yes, they make the news most of the time in Chicago because of the violence running rampant sadly. I actually pay homage to a well known priest in Chicago who advocates against the violence in the Chicago, Father Michael Pfleger. Anyways, I'm glad you got out of Chicago. One day I might leave lol! Yes, Brooke is beyond thirsty so much Michael is disgusted. Thanks for reading, honey!
