I know damn well Julia doesn't have Motha Ross' number so what is she doing answering his phone!?!?!?!?!?!? She TRIED it, and so did he. He better not have had sex with her, but I bet he did. I haven't been able to read in a while. Been busy. I would like for there to be some progress between these two now, but if he has slept with Motha Ross then I can't have Julia in that situation. I thought for a second it was his mom who answered the phone, but not her tho!!
I think at this point it's time for something to happen. The being coy stuff is kind of wearing thin. Julia just spilled her tea, but she was drunk. It was to Motha Ross anyway so it doesn't count. We know she wont' be relaying any messages.
I like that he was vulnerable enough to say that he has feelings for her. I like that he expressed his fear for once instead of sweeping it under the rug. I don't even know what else to say. I'm still in shock.

I'm not even going to lie to you. This chapter made me cry. I'm pretty sure any girl in their 20s-30s has dealt with this kind of feeling at some stage in their early adulthood. The one guy that set their heart on fire but instead of helping to fan the flames, he just leaves you there to burn.

Thank you! The moment I read this I knew you were absolutely right! I think this was more of an error on my part than anything. They do get more intimate in the following chapters, but this is still something I need to keep in mind. I often get too caught up in dialogue.

HOW CAN YOU HATE SAM SMITH?!?! Actually, I understand...I hated him for a long time. It was actually that cover that made me fall in love and then I started appreciating him more.
