Michael is trying, and I have to give him credit for that. Nina, almost ruined a sweet moment with her accusations, but I'm glad Michael didn't take that bait, but instead calmly explained when he had gotten in.
I am excited for the whole family about the impending birth of little Prince. Lord, Michael is going to lose his mind with pride. Just make sure his ass doesn't get near a bottle for any celebratory toast. Just put your lips around a cold, unlit cigar Michael and call it a day.
I am wondering how the girls will react to the new baby after being the center of attention and apple of their daddy's eyes for a year. Maddox is use to it at this point though, but now even more of Michael's time will be divided. So, it will be interesting to see how all this plays out.
Oh, and Marcus-Jump off the nearest cliff you pressed fool. It's O.V.E.R., OVER, THEY said! Lol

Prince is definitely going to shake the house up with his arrival! The girls are no longer the babies and Maddox is now the BIG big brother. But right Michael better celebrate with either an unlit cigar or a glass of sparkling grape juice!

I'm glad he didn't have to resort to the pills. Unfortunately Nina doesn't get that his condition is really not that easy to dismiss. This is why he needs to seek professional help with it and try to fix it. It's not as easy to just say oh ok stop thinking now. Speaking from experience. Mine never got that bad where I need meds tho.
It's hilarious how conked out he was after he came. Snoring and all.
It's the calm before the storm and I'm so anxious to see what's going to happen. I'm so scared for them. That Video chick better not be the problem. Imma be so heated if it is. Marcus I can handle.

The no make-up thing just kind of naturally happened. They've been married a long time now and he's slowly but surely letting go of his little insecurities. It's definitely a big development for him!
And right, Nina doesn't really get it. She thinks he's just carelessly popping pills to fall asleep quick because he's too impatient to naturally let his body fall asleep on its own. I only get that way under severe stress or if I have like something big going on the next day - job interview, etc. I'm sure if I was in Michael's shoes (tons of pressure, stress, big things happening all the time) I'd need meds LOL.
Nina sure did put him straight in a coma. She could be doing ALOT more to sooth his anxieties rather than just complaining about how he deals with them.
Next chapter we'll meet video girl. We'll see if Michael lets her become a problem or if he's a problem... or if Marcus remains the problem! lol

I'm ending this sequal at chapter 50 lol and then making the next phase of their life a different story. All together the Surrogate will be a quadrilogy. 4 stories = 10 years of their lives.

They do both have their issues, but the way Michael handles these issues and balances his work stress is not healthy. They need an expert to step in ASAP.
Marcus is even more butt sore than ever now that Nina has pretty much told him to his face that Michael is the one she loves so yeah expect him to pop up sometime soon to trying and gain his revenge.

He only does this when he's working so he can maximize the amount of sleep he gets, which ain't really a good excuse, but at least he's not just being dumb and taking them for no reason. Frank is back in his life! Hopefully he can make a difference.
And as far as the girl, it shouldn't be an issue but out of common courtesy he should been up front with her about it and assure her she has nothing to worry about. Being the natural flirt he is, its bound to piss Nina off anyway lol

They are a sweet couple when things are good, but they still aren't techinically on the same page. Similar pages at least (because most of the time they be on different pages in completely different books)

It was nice to read a chapter in which they were just sweet to each other. I think Michael is downplaying how his family treats Nina, though....and avoiding counseling is getting old fast. Heaven forbid he hear the straight truth without any rhinestones or gems.

Right! It's like at any given time one of them is making all the effort while the other isn't. Nina's finally coming around ready to buckle down, push Marcus aside and fix thigns with her husband and Michael is already jumping the gun and flying up to Cloud 9 like everything's perfect when he needs to get his head out of the clouds and focus the real issues here - without the rhinestones or gems.
