Marcus didn't get time to greive over his heartache and he doesn't have the closure that HE wants. It's driven him borderline crazy. They do all need counseling especially Michael.

Nina's Mom is a saint. The fact that Michael could at least admit this time around he has a problem is big. He now has to realize he can't kick this on his own like he thinks.
Nina got props too. Sad it took such extremes for her to explain to Mad that his father is no good. I'm so glad him and Michael made up. I was holding my chest the whole time the two of them where hugging. When Mad said "You're my best friend" I damn near died a thousand deaths fam.
The end where they fell asleep in each other's arms had me open toooooooooo!!! *cries* I know the end is next and I don't know how I'm going to handle it because the shit is hitting the fan.
I'm putting a hit out on Marcus. Dude is crazy as hell. UGH!!!! (He the only one getting Ughs this chapter)

Nina's mom is a saint, but we'll find out she hasn't always been. Everyone has their past highs and lows in life.
My real son says "You're my best friend." when he makes up with his brother after a fight and it melts my heart EVERY TIME! TEARS.
Michael knows it's the end and he just wanted to be in her arms one last night.
Marcus is gonna get a lot more ughs lol. a LOT.

I've read your story through these days and I'm really impressed by your ability to portray complex characters. Michael has some things to work on, but overall it's clear he loves Nina more than anything. This ending was very bittersweet, I hope they'll work it out and get back toghether one day.

Aww thank you!!!! Michael does have some things to work on and Nina could be a little bit more supportive when it comes to that. We'll see what happens.

Why must you pull at my heartstrings so much? I love this story. I love how the kids have realistic responses to situations (e.g. Maddox being so easily influenced); the dialogue isn't corny, but rather touching; and how both the OG and Michael are fallible.

I'm pulling ALL the heartstrings. The next chapter is the last of this segment and in a few months I'll post the new story which will take place 3 years later.
