Samantha is a very good friend. As time goes on, I get more excited the closer Lana gets to 18. That's when I feel things are really going to be hot and heavy between her and Michael. Even though he'd fallen in love with her at such a young age, I love how you made his character always remain honorable. You've described their relationship in a way that it is so adorable and precious and it doesn't come off as disturbing. Only skilled writers can pull this off successfully and you've done it. Well done.
