A touching read. This story moved me along quickly and I found myself feeling frightened for the character Julia and wanting to shake some sense into her at the same time.  If you have been lucky enough never to have been hit by a man.  ‘Remember Me’  by author Julia is skilfully written so that you can walk in a beaten woman’s shoes. SPOILERS: No intelligent beautiful woman (Julia) would ever stay with a man (Nathan) who hits her and thank god she does not.  She is one of the lucky ones who finally wake up. The ones who are strong enough to wake up before they die both inside out.  And that is how Julia the character was portrayed here.  She can run but her bruises will always stay.  When she found love with someone else (Michael) she does crazy things and intelligence and common sense is usually the first thing that goes – regardless of how honest the love is.  Michael the character believes that he can fix her if she just gives him a chance. All he has to do is figure her out.  And fix her.  Or first he needs to ‘fix’ himself.    Her abuser -Nathan’s voice calling her in dreams when she least expect it. It comes at her, and grabs her around her neck like quick moving fog. It makes her skin tingle. It haunts her in her sleep like a ghost whisper.  He never left her – he never did.  Julia the author is right about one thing.  A woman spend time covering up that she is in a violent relationship and when she finally wakes up she spend the rest of her life running away from it.  Perhaps because no one wants to be  labelled as a battered woman.   That’s too shameful. No one likes to see the pity and shame in another person’s eyes. It is just another secret someone learns to live and run from forever. Some bruises never really heals....maybe reading stories like ‘Remember Me’ will help the healing....

This is incredible! & yet i am all so very flattered that you can see where I'm going with this story and the level that you go to try to analyze and piece together with your perspective. I try to convey a message so to speak, but also allow people to see the mind game in this story and i appreciate you taking the time to figure it out. OMG! I hope Julia will not turn into a bag of loony everytime MJ tries to be intimate with her.  That is a disaster.  I admire Michael for genuinely wanting to be with her and help her through and through.  Nathan - he is off my planet right now - i imagine all the abuse he has done to her physical and mental is driving her crazy - About Christina I have mixed feelings she is afterall the original gf it is painful to be her in this story imo Michael should end them first before starting a new relationship with Julia it isnt fair to Christina.  Julia was right to want to leave him i commend her for thinking about Christina not many heroines do that in the stories I have read on this site.
