This is a fine story and I mostly enjoyed reading it but my only problem with it is that it's basically just Michael's life retold with an OC at his side. I guess that's the story you wanted to write so good for you, but I got bored after it became abundantly clear that's all it was. Also, the formatting makes it really hard to read; i.e. the huge walls of text.

Author's Response: Hi! You are exactly right. At the time that I wrote this story (around 2010) I have been reading a lot of fanfics that seemed to deal with everything but Michael as a human being. Most of the stories dealt with Michael around Bad or after. I got tired of him being the always sweet, always right, always super romantic kind of guy when I didn’t believe that’s who he was. So I decided to write his story as if he had that one person in his life that he really could trust and confide in. A person who could be there for a black man who had to grapple with vitiligo in front of a million cameras. She would deal with the stubborn and egotistical person he would have to be when he spent a good portion of his life surrounded by people who rarely said no. I used actual facts from his life in order to make the story as realistic as possible. But I wanted to add someone who loved him enough to always tell him the truth as she saw it and didn’t just look at him with star struck eyes as most of the fanfics then did. Which, in my opinion, made my story different. But, I’m glad you liked the parts that you liked. This type of story isn’t everyone’s tastes. If you want something a little more fictional, I have a lot more stories under my penname, but I stopped writing years ago. Although most of my stories involve a thread or two of truth, this is the only one that dealt with real life facts in this manner. Oh, and the format is because I wrote in full chapters, but this site didn't accept any of my formatting when I posted.

Someone recommended this story on lipstick alley. I’ve had it in my list to read for a while. I’m excited to see where it goes. So far so good.

I've started reading this this mornign and I'm finished damn near weeping. This touched each and every feel in body. I know you probably don't come on here anymore but you are a wonderful writer and this was one amazing story. From the innocent Jackson stages to the amazing Invincible era and the dreaded This Is It. I know most people on here don't write about the trails and death but your captured it perfectly. I loved Felicia's headstrong character and Michael was just Michael.

I hope Ananda was the baby they lost and well we know they live happily ever after. Thears keep falling but nevermind that. Excellent story !

I started reading this Friday night and have read on it all day till I just finished it. I am an MJ ff addict and I mean a bad one. When MJ died I didn't shed tears on the outside like everyone else but on the inside. After reading yours I shed the first tears since his death. This was the most beautiful but a tearjerker ff I have ever read. I just wish he had someone like her in real life. Thank you so much you have touched me like no other.

Propofol? Near-death experience? Secrets? Michael, get it together, please! I wanna believe that love can help him conquer this stuff, but I'm not too sure. I'm really anxious to see how this turns out.
