That's so sad. Michael basically entered into a life of crime to make money to impress Kenya, then she ended up leaving him because of his criminal lifestyle and it was the lifestyle that got her killed. I can see why Michael blames himself but he needs to let it go. Kenya knew what he was up to, and she stayed with him until it was too late. I see why he is so crazy with Enya, he is afraid of the same thing happening again. Her leaving, and his enemies killing her. What I don't get it why he didn't quit after Kenya died? You'd think that would be the motivation he needed, to honor his wife's dying wish to get their daughter out of that world. I hope Enya can make him come to his senses for Bria's sake.
Is the Max in this chapter the same Max that is Enya'sn friend?

Michael needs to forgive himself. His pain cannot bring Kenya to life again but like you said, it could be lesson. Michael should quit and try to offer to Bria a better life.
And yes, this is the same Max! I think it will make more sense for following chapters. Can't say too much!

If someone did and ends a long term relationship that person would perhaps suffer from an emotional break down. 10 years- wow! And that is one hell of a long time. I mean that's totally awesome. Kenya and Michael - 10 years - well i guess I could say now that they're apart Michael felt the other half is gone. It's like a missing link. Being incomplete. As I read the flashback of your story I was thinking and starting to ask if Michael character has 'Asperger's Syndrome'. He has the signs. There's just something 'wrong' about him that I cannot put a name to.

It's even harder to look at Bria everyday and remember Kenya. I guess it was too hard for Michael to get over it. And eveybody blamed him. He must have got used to the idea that it was his fault
