Summary:

Leaving all of the Jacksons behind, Lexi is forced into Secret Protective Services in order to protect herself from the mysterious attacker that has been haunting her since the beginning of her relationship with Michael.

Unable to completely cut ties with the only true family she has ever known, Lex refuses to go far and when she reenters their lives with her appearance altered, their grief keeps them from recognizing her and she is forced to watch helplessly as the people she loves grieves.

What will happen when Lexi discovers the "death" she was forced to fake after her shooting has destroyed Michael, making him dependent on prescription drugs and how will she react to finding Diana has taken advantage of her absence to prey on a grieving Michael?

How will Janet deal with the death of her closest friend and the knowledge that she treated her so poorly before she lost her?

What will happen when Lexi finally exposes her identity? Will Michael and Janet be relieved, or cut her out of her lives for not sharing she is alive?  Will her attacker finally be exposed? Or will they eventually track her down and finish what they thought was already done?

After he completes his singing career, Michael Jackson went back to school to study law.  Then, he became a part of the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department).  His speciality as a detective is with children.  Well, Michael does have four of his own, three that are his and one he adopted after finding her almost dead on the street.

While working on a five-year cold case, Michael learns from Katy, his adopted daughter, that she remembered watching her mother stuff a dead body into the trunk of her car and a boy that was sitting in the shotgun.  It has been awhile since Katy last spoke, and Michael urges her to speak more, but Katy's fear conquers everything to talk about her past.  Will Michael solve the mystery of the dead girl with the triangle tattoo, or will the mystery stay as cold as the winter snow?
