So glad you posted this, it’s a great concept and i love the chemistry between Jo and Michael already. Great dynamic. I also really like your writing, it has a film like pace and quality to it. I especially like the line about missing what’s in front of you when you hide behind the glasses, ugh its so damn clever for the context of the story and for the fact Michael is taken by her although he doesn’t know it 100% yet. Great job!

Goodness the details. The movie like quality to your chapters is addicting. One cannot help but to feel as if they are right beside the characters.
I can’t wait to see what happens in the next few chapters. I can only hope that Michael’s efforts to help don’t cause problems with the tribes. But places like Africa much too often have these kinds of conflicts.
Amazing job at putting this chapter together, making it as realistic and whole as possible. You must have done crazy research, maybe? It’s incredible. Even the people Amelia comes across while there feel real. So do the tribes.

Great chapter! I’m truly impressed with the character development, these characters also seem real, you can hear them and see them and that is so important in stories. I check back often to see if you’ve updated lol because I cant get enough. I know some people on here really hate when stories aren’t a walk in the park, they hate reading about very real and at times dark feelings/emotions and problems in story plots. I’m not sure why because they are necessary in my opinion, not everything can be a fairytale. So, I applaud you for taking on and creating these obstacles for your characters. Thank you for digging real deep into the pain and aching the characters feel. I can especially feel Michael’s torment. In addition, I adore the way Michael is depicted in this story. And cannot wait for Amelia to realize or better yet for Michael to admit how he feels before it’s really too late. It’s also funny that most times whenever I get this deep into a love story I expect and want the main characters to kiss or something to be revealed about their feelings, but for the first time I am alright with this slower progression. You’ve done an incredible job with plot. Much love.

Thank you so much for the amazing comment! When writing this narrative the one thing I told myself was that I wanted true deep emotions. Falling in love, growing up and finding your place in the world, are hard gut wrenching things sometimes, and the last I wanted to do was make it too flowery or perfect. Someone like Michael would feel everything and I wanted to express that as best as I could.

Michael is so damn stubborn why cant he just admit it. Geez lol, but this seems very much how he would be in real life. Clever ways of dragging the anticipation, love. I want more lets just be honest. And what can I say, that first half with the men arriving to Neverland and taking photos of Michael, it felt to real. It’s so painful to even imagine. Poor thing had to go through so much and thats probably the most humiliating thing ever. And it could be felt in every way you described Michael, in every way Michael speaks. I’m also happy Charles isnt falling for Michael’s lie about his real feelings. I love this story so very much, honey! Can’t wait for more!
