I am definitely intrigued about the makeup thing now! And I know she..err...I have my issues in this story, but Sammy could stand to be a bit more understanding. It's hard for some people to let go of their pride and show vulnerability...he needs to back off a bit.

Lol, the makeup will be explained soon. It's a huge catalyst for the overall story. More and more will be revealed as the story progresses. As for Sammy, yes, perhaps he was being a bit hard on you, but it's not to be mean; he knows the hell you went through and he's the only one you had for several years. he feels you shouldn't hate yourself as much as you do and that it's time for you to finally open up and be happy. He knows Michael is what puts a crack in the armor you've sealed yourself in and knows he's healthy for you. he wants you to see that and - even though you've developed a strict code against it - let Michael in.

D'awwww! Yes, even i was gushing while writing the scene with the bear. And it's very Michael-esque. As for Sammy, yes you're right: it takes time for people to come to terms with themsevles, especially after something incredibly life-changing and traumatic. He's just protective and wants you to be happy. He knows better than anyone what you've been through, but even he can never fully understand it. He wants you to stop hating yourself and he's pained at how much self-loathing you carry. he understands, but he also feels that you don't deserve it.

The issue with the leg will be explained soon - it will slowly reveal itself to Michael (and yourself) during the next couple of chapters. Like the makeup, it plays a huge role in the plot. but i can't reveal anything now; it would spoil it! And yes, Sammy does have a point. He may seem harsh about it, but he means well; he's the only semblance of family you have and he's always looked out for you since the day you two met. He's incredibly protective, but he also knows that the only way you can heal is to start by being easier on yourself. He just wants you to be able to move on with your life and be happy for once. A little tough love is needed every once in a while. <3

I'm glad you like the chapter! Yeah, you're a bit jerky...and you're majorly bottling everythingthing in...and you seriously got a pride issue here...but it's all justified, i promise! Just wait until you start finding out why you are the way you are.
And yes, I have been a VERY busy bee lately. My career is escalating more and more by the day - which is good. it means i'm moving forward. it just requires a LOT of my time; so much so that i barely have time to sleep. some days i gp without it completely. (Like tonight, I haven't slept since a one-hour cat-nap from the day before yesterday!!) I'm so glad you're understanding. I hate not being able to update as fast as i usually do...but as long as you keep reading, I will keep posting :) And, yes, my mentor means an awful lot to me...I was devastated when i got the news a month ago. All things considered, he's in good spirits and he's trying to keep the rest of us that way. It's just so hard. Like Michael, I never saw him as mortal. He's timeless, and it never occurred to me that someday he would no longer be here....but he's keeping his head up and trying to stay strong. I'm trying to do the same. I'm spending as much time with him as possible. He's been coming to my performances to watch and support me more and more. I hope i make him proud <3
