Neat... :) Very beautiful and unique, as well as very well-written, too. I like it, and one reason why is because it reminds me of this speech given by Jesse Katsopolis in the Season 2 episode Our Very First Christmas Show:

“What’s the matter with you people? The first Christmas was in a manger. They did okay. I mean, so what if we’re stuck in this crummy dump? Christmas isn’t about presents, or Santa Claus, or cows. It’s about a feeling. It’s about - It’s about people. It’s about us forgetting about our problems and reaching out to help other people. Christmas doesn’t have to happen in one certain place. It happens in our hearts. So if you think about it, we could have Christmas anywhere.”

That speech is really neat, very well-written, and gets me every time... :)

Oh my... This was so sad. :( It's shocking when you got it all good just because of that one special person, and in a mere matter of seconds they can be snatched away... It really shows life and death is ultimately not in our hands.

Ah you moved me with every word, and I don't even know what to type because I'm still emotional over your story.

Unfortunate yet exquisitely written... I especially loved the opening about breathing. I adore when I am able to leave a story with something to think about. ^.^

Much LOVE , <33

Touched the very core of my heart. This is very beautiful and heartbreaking. I can understand how you must have felt during that time. Well....*hugs* please continue. It's very beautiful.

Author's Response:

Thank you, Dreams!

Allow me to begin by swooning over your username. It's so beautiful ... It's a simple word, but very touching. I believe it's very appropriate for a place like this where we're all dreaming in one way or another. I think it's a beautiful choice.

This is the very first short story I ever wrote. I think it happened during the first week after Michael passed away. My keyboard was soaking wet from my tears. I don't believe there's one word in this story that hasn't been accompanied by sobs and tears.

I thought about turning it into a full story, but I'm not sure yet. I think the emotional ride would be extremely painful. I'll see if I can ever develop it further.

Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment.

Tight hugs,

Paula
