OMG. Well to say it's been a while would be an understatement, girl! I, for one, am glad you're back with another update!
No no noooo fam. I'm worried about Renee...should she be working that much in her condition? Desperate times call for desperate measures but I'm sure the shop can hire someone who DOESN'T have another human inside of them LOL. I'm just concerned for her pregnancy (given her age) and hope it's smooth-sailing and she is ok, and the baby is ok too. Wow interesting seeing Michael in the studio!! I personally always love when stories have this aspect of realism - his career. So recordings and albums and tourings, award shows etc...it's so cool when it's incorporated and as authors, it's fun to play around with it!
Haha the shade at La-Toya's voice...(someone had to say it though).
LOL THIS GETS FUNNIER, first Renee was nearly caught about to get down and dirty with Michael and then he refuses to let Toy hear his material because he know's she's gonna steal XD idk if you've seen it (and bless your eyes if you haven't), but La-Toya's live rendition of 'Shake Your Body' is so CRINGE and just legit laughable. Okay serious now fr - why are Michael's brothers upset? Acting like they didn't cheat on their wives and have kids with other women, who never interfered wiith their touring and stuff, but suddenly Michael and Renee's baby will? Bye. At least they're trying to make this work despite the opinions of those around them. FR.
OOOO THE NAME DROP! YASS HAHA, so that's what Michael is thinking! Brianna is nice! I love how he just casually said it XD. The only thing that made me smile even more is how much Michael cares for her. Even better they addressed their feelings at the end which is so important. It makes me optimistic that they'll get through this alright - I just hope nothing changes.

Sorry it took so long!
I think for now she's okay. She's nearing three months and since she was relatively tiny from the beginning she's not that big, but she does have a small little bump. The baby hasn't had any complications so for now she should be okay, but if I was her I'd be looking for something different myself! And I very seldom write Michael in the studio, so it's exciting when I do! We're getting ready for off the wall girl so we have award shows, parties, all of that coming up as Renee progresses in her pregnancy.
LOL no shade, no shade, but it is really pitchy. You'd know who's talking without even looking up. And I've never heard her rendition and since you say it's bad I doubt if i ever will LOL. I agree with Michael's brothers. They have families and wives, but are upset with Michael and Renee's situation? It's unfair. Yes, yes, yes Michael did drop a name and throughout the chapters he might drop a few more I have yet to decide *taps chin* but we will see!
I hope they get through it too, but we will definitely see.

Bill always seems like such a good guy to talk to and get advice from. I love how Michael and Renee are so comfortable and cute around each other. Michael needs to come up with some better names cause Lord. Also some boy names too. By the way, did you delete I Want You? I'm just asking cause I really liked that book. Please continue soon!!!

I definitely agree that Bill did seem like a person you could confide in. Renee and Michael's relationship has had time to build and grow so it's good that they're comfortable, and as you say 'cute', around one another. That's what I was aiming for! LOL I'm weak at you not liking his name, but you're right. He needs to get better.
And girl I deleted that book about a year, maybe two years ago. I know it's been over a year for sure.

Broooooo that phone call hurt me more than it hurt Michael. Legit I can just picture him talking to Renee on the phone secretly. In a closet. Awwww so I really liked this chapter - I thought it was nice that Michael went to visit her at home and I get why he's lowkey beating himself up for not having the courage to tell her legit omg she's not going to cut you off fam, you're MJ. It's obvious she cares about him and shit like forced him to take some cake...jk, but if she gets annoyed that he calls her a friend then isn't that enough of a sign that she's after a different kind of label herself?

Girl, ikr? I tie-dye my own when I have time. Just buy some cheap long songs lol. I try my best. I wasn't born nowhere near the 70s. Shoot, I was two years shy of being born in the 2000's so I try to do enough research to keep up with the times, outfits, lingo, etc. It's hard though because sometimes the internet isn't specific enough and I have to go out on a limb and hope I don't muck it up.
Michael is shy and modest and believes Renee doesn't reciprocate his feelings when clearly she does, but he can't see it. Hopefully he will see it soon and they can come to some sort of mutual standing. I'm weak! She like eat the cake Michael, eat the cake.

Poor Ren. I know it must be hard on her hearing her parents talk about her that way. I'm glad to see her mother has calmed down...hopefully she will continue to talk some sense into her husband. Ok-on to this paternity test. I'm not even mad at Joseph to be honest. As any father who's raising some superstars, he has every right to react that way as well as request Michael to get a DNA test...even though everyone knows the truth. If I was Renee, I would just get it done to shut him up...plain and simple.
I think it's cute how Michael has already been thinking about names. At least someone has...lol. I know, I know. She been going through a lot to even think about that st the moment...especially in the early stages of the pregnancy.
i think it'll be interesting to see how they work things out ...such as who she and the baby will live with after he/she is born. I'm sure Michael would want to raise the child together under one roof.

Ok first - that secretary. I’m about to catch these hands! LOL she has no chill wow. TBH I think Michael should just the stupid paternity test done. It’s obvious the baby is Renee’s but if he doesn’t comply with Joseph it’s just going to make it worse like he might aswell just do it.
One thing I noticed was how Renee’s emotions change sooooo rapidly and how easily triggered she gets! Of course that’s because of her pregnancy hormones coming into play and I think you captured this type of circumstance brilliantly. Like one second she’s flustered and enjoying the bacon and Michael’s company, and then Michael drops that he might need to get tested. Way to ruin the moment bruh! Lmao fr tho, he should support her decision to move to her Aunt Myra’s. At this point in time, the BEST thing he can do is support her because clearly not everyone is on Renee’s side (which sucks). Aside from that I wanna know what names Michael has thought of no lie😂
I really am impressed with the types of descriptions you write regarding emotions as well as actions - “I chewed slowly as I reflected on his words”. That whole scene was really tense but again they got over it with their reminiscing. You’ve made it super easy to visualise everything. I also think the pacing is fine it’s steady and the addition of flashbacks enhance the reading experience. I hope Renee continues to stay optimistic and maybe doing what SHE wants will assure this...

LOL yeah the secretary was a little out of line. As for if the Michael will get it done or not we will see. He may to prove Joseph wrong, or he might not because it could hurt Renee's feelings. Either way we'll see as the story progresses.
Ren's mood changes are very up and down, but as you mentioned it's the pregnancy homormones, as well as the stress taking turns on her. Thanks so much for all the compliments you made about my writing it made me smile and I really appreciate it!

I think it's good for Renee to go live with her aunt. She doesn't need the stress her parents are giving her. She needs support, not judgement. I'm not surprised at Joseph. Like I said before he's nothing but an SOB! Renee is lucky in that the father of her baby wants them both and is taking responsibility for it. Great chapter! Do you think you could do one that showed Michael and Renee's "first time"? I would love that!

Wow, her sisters can be mean. Reading a letter that was meant for her is such an invasion of privacy! I loved the part with the water balloons, especially when Joseph was hit! Brought a smile to my face. Even though it would get them in trouble, Michael still found humor in it and protected Renee from getting caught! So sweet! Well done!

Girl, I'm pissed!! Her parents are a bit toooo much for me right now. She is 19...not 17 not 16...19! First, as her parents, they have every right to be disappointed because: one, every parent want what's best for their child....she should be focusing on her education and finding herself In life but now she has to focus on raising a child.. I get that. But for them to make the decision to put the child up for adoption was crossing the line.
Ok, let me calm down...I got a little too invested. Had me thinking about when I was 19. I was married at 21 with a kid but my dad was happy to see me off. Different strokes for different folks?? Lol
Anyway, glad to see Michael is happy about the baby. I see he was a bit shocked at first as he should be. Also happy to see that he's stepping up to take care of his responsibility.
