I tend to shy away from too much bad pasts because it's done time and time again. Even in my stories I try to give my characters a semi good/bad. Nonetheless I gave your story a chance cause the plot is different!, we all live differently But the past makes us stronger and who we are today but that's my opinion. Back to the story now we see what made Aura the way she is what I don't get is why didn't the boyfriend just dump her instead of killing her? Is he that stupid? But Michael will mend her back together in due time.
Author's Response: There are people in this world who have killed their lovers for multiple reasons instead of dumping them. I'm not a killer so I can not answer your question. I might have an answer revealed later in time. Sorry if you don't like the bad past she has but it only adds to why she has trust issues and gives her a story on how and why she died. However, I agree, pasts make people stronger but I never really said anything about Aura not being strong. Everyone takes pain and abuse differently and some people take a long time growing out of it. Take it from someone who has worked with people with pasts like these. They are adults and still find it difficult to forget what happened and how to react to it.
