I think that Michael is undecided because he really wants a relationship. He has barely started dating Lisa and he has to find excuses for her - that's a red flag. On the other hand he starts realizing he may feel more than friendship for Lara. Right now the situation is tenuous, it could go down in any direction...Nice chapter, great work!

Him and Lara are definitely in between a rock and a hard place right now. Michael is stuck in a pretty sub par relationship, and Lara's holding off saying anything to him. I want to just yell it at them to confess their feelings, but hey - brings up the tension! Never know what could turn around.

I've been reading so far without reviewing because I've been really sucked into the story and that says a lot. You have a gift at creating believable characters and life situations. I really like the way you portray both Lara and Michael and I have to commend you on your flawless grammar and style. I really enjoy your story and I'll try to review it more often.

Hello! Gotta say I am enjoying this new story, it certainly pulls on the heartstrings! Dang, girl, you are certainly good at writing good drama and adding in the sadness and happiness. I do worry though cause of the dream Lara had, I really hope Lara don't become the friend he uses to give birth to his children, no love out of it or them actually being a couple....Lara deserves better then that, and if he can marry one woman he supposedly loves, he can marry Lara later. I just hope he don't ask her to carry his babies like in the dream for a business reason...sheesh. That would be low. She deserves a mans love and desire. Yes I am getting carried away lol.

Aww haha! Well I'm certainly achieving my goal then as a writer if its pulling on the heart strings.
I can assure you that if, her dream comes true in the future, that there is a definite mutual love as friends at least, between them right now, even if things are a little, rocky since Lisa has come into the picture.

I was really hoping you would make an alternate timeline and universe without Lisa. I hate when she is in stories. Please don't make him marry her. The faster she is out of the story the better.
If Lara is such a good friend to Michael why on earth wouldn't he tell her about Lisa all along? And then on top of that ditching her when he doesn't need her anymore. Gotta say, her jealousy is not warranted as they are just friends but Michael is not being a good friend at all. If he had told her he was seeing Lisa from the beginning I doubt she would have been upset. She may have even been happy for him although Lisa does seem like a spoiled rotten petty bitch so maybe not. Friendships are reciprocal. You can't just take take take emotionally and not share anything in return. You don't cut someone out of your life when you get a girlfriend either. He is selfish. I bet he won't call her either.
I would say no to his job offer in her position.
Lisa's reaction to seeing Lara is what you would expect from a jealous girlfriend. I bet Michael does talk about Lara a lot and Lisa did not expect her to be so young and attractive. She feels threatened.

I do actually have a plan in mind that'll sort of speed things through the mention of Lisa. Trust me, I don't like her either, but I personally felt like adding her in was the perfect measure to a bit of drama.
In regards to the whole 'why wouldn't he tell her about Lisa?' Matter - I feel like all their calls would've just been fun catch up calls, where he focuses more on her then she does with him. Lisa's reaction to Lara, definitely makes her a spoiled rotten petty bitch (I love you wording there of her haha).
Lisa DEFINITELY feels threatened by Lara. You've hit the nail on the head right there :-)
