Wow. This chapter made my damn after a long day at school. So he really did divorce Lisa huh and thought everything was gonna be peachy between him and Dee?!?!? Uh no. Like i said before, he felt an obligation to be with her because she was preggers with his damn baby. If it probably wasn't for her being in the situation she's in now, a divorce probably wouldn't have happened.
I'm so happy she's opening her eyes and putting her foot down to him. He needs to learn and be told to. Michael did her wrong for so long and she stayed regardless because she loved him a lot. Probably more than he loved her.
His explanation was what and what for me. I understood where he was coming from. He wanted to protect her, but you cant just up and determine the outcome of how someone may or may not take being in the media because if who you are. Some people can handle it and would go down with you no matter what's being said. Its apoarent that's what Dee was getting at. She didnt care about the media. She just wanted him and him only.
I cant wait for more soon.

Untill he presents Dee with them papers he is still married. Either way he thought telling her that was going to make everything good with them but now that's not enough. Especially when its clear, its not for Dee at all.
And yay, she did well standing up for herself.
And yep, you got it. Dee wanted to prove that she's not some young immature girl, but someone who really loves him enough to go through that. Uproot her entire life just to be with him.

Sorry I haven't been reviewing lately, I haven't had time to actually browse the site, but I have caught up and I must say that Michael is digging a hole deep enough for Dominique to drop kick him in. I don't think he realizes how insanely selfish he sounds. It's like he dances around the question just to give her an answer that he thinks she will like. Stop bullshitting and get to the point. He hasn't divorced Lisa because he doesn't want to divorce Lisa. Like he said, he fell in love with her. He wanted to have kids with her. Not once did he mention kids to Dominique until after Lisa said no. It's okay for him to admit that he actually loves the woman he married. He needs to be a man about it and own up to his mistakes instead of making Lisa out to be the bad guy. So far all I see is a man who wanted a media wife and a "normal" wife. He can't have it all and live happily ever after. Thats not how it work. Thats not how any of this works! Even polygomists get tired and realize that a healthy relationship can't involve more than two people. I'm glad Dee is finally starting to wake up. Maybe she should move on like he suggested since according to him, he never forced her into the side hoe position in the first place.😒 Boy I tell ya, I can't wait for this baby to pop up so we can see if Michael is able to keep it (and Dee) away from the media then. Lisa will divorce his ass before he'll be able to get his lawyer to draw up the papers. I have a feeling Dee won't even want him by then if he keeps popping off at the mouth. She needs to make her mind up and figure out what's best for the baby. This could either go three ways. Either Michael & Dee make their damn minds up and decide to be together, or Michael steps aside and let's Dee be happy with Trai or Dee becomes a single parent. I can see the third happening, but I'll just wait until we get there.
Anyway, great chapter as always. And it's really hard to stay mad at a man who looks that yummy in that gif. His hair looks like God himself said "here my child, I grant you these heavenly curls so you can slay thine bitches"! 😩

The more he talks,*cough* bullshits, the worse it gets. And you're spot on. He's with Lisa because he wanted to be. And I think he's doing everything he can to avoid telling Dee that, which would no doubt break her heart and she would probably leave him for sure. He's been stringing her along with these lies about Lisa, but only he knows the truth. Dee only sees certain parts of him and he keeps alot hidden from her. To have it both ways. And it can only last for so long.
And yes, maybe she should move on... give Trai a call ;)
And yes girl, I honestly don't know how long Michael can keep not only a mistress hidden, but a baby as well. Dee shouldn't want him after all is said and done, but who knows?
And yeah there are only 3 options...we have a long way to go before that happens.

As bullshit as Michael's personal choices where Dee is concerned are, His excuse for keeping their relationship secret is not. It's the most valid part of his argument in fact. As much as Dee claims to be "a big girl" I really don't think she could handle being a public part of Michael's life. It was no joking matter. Seriously who would want to invite that kind of intrusion into their lives if it could be avoided? That's pretty naive. I found it a bit undermining how she reacted to that as if it was a frivolous paranoid thought. She was there during the allegations how could she not see validation in that for not going public?
Marrying Lisa for her ability to handle the pressure is as bullshit it as it comes. No doubt he could have just remained single and had Dee as his girl if his love for her gave him the kind of escape he needed to savor normalcy. He didn't need to add a wife to the equation to ward off the media. So the 'why her' was foolishness and seemed like an after thought.
The Media situation= 100% valid
The Root of the "Why her"= 30% valid at best.
He needs to come better. His little slip of the tongue was stupid and Dee should have emptied her coke on him to boot.
Showing and proving is the ONLY way back in now. Michael do better son!!

Oh great, I'm so happy that it made sense. That was what I was struggling with.
And yes Michael's reasoning regarding the paps was spot on. She doesn't know what being in the media spotlight truly means. It's no joking matter, but I think that's one of her defense mechnisims. As well as her desire to prove that she's not some young immature girl, but a mature soon to be mother. She wants to be strong. In fact, she needs to be.
This chapter was tough for me because I really had to delve into Michael's mindset and who he is. I haven't had to do that since this is Dee's story. Michael was doing his damndest to skirt around the truth. The truth that he loves his wife. And you can see Dee didn't buy it.
Actions speak louder than words.
We shall see what happens.
And thank you for your kind words, I admit I put a little pressure on myself since this is when Michael actually opens up a bit.

- Michael generally was looking out for her but fucked up along the way , he was protecting her from the media because he knows what it's like to be hounded and maybe this whole situation dragged on a little to much but he's actually trying and maybe dee should cut him an inch of slack , she feels that she can handle any and everything but once entering Michele's world publicly theirs no turning back especially with a baby and I see why he choose Lisa , she was already in the industry and knows how it can be because she grew up that way , dee should understand she would be losing her privacy

Yes, I think Michael was well meaning. The media is a real bitch. Especially to him and he wanted to keep her out of it. And yes, I don't think she fully grasps what it means to be in his life, publicly....

I think it's cool that Trai still wants to be friends with Dom but she shouldn't be running to him for comfort all the time. Especially as her pregnancy progresses. Michael will want to be involved in her & the baby's life more. He may even ask Dom to move in with him. So she needs to be honest with Michael about Trai & be honest with Trai about Michael. Save herself more drama.
As for the meeting with Michael's lawyer, its probably to protect her & the baby from the media. Especially since Dom was his mistress during his marriage to Lisa & their baby was conceived at that time too. The media would have more nasty things to say about Michael & drag Dom through the mud with him.
Dom really needs to grasp the fact that she is pregnant with Michael's baby. Even if the baby will not be born into ideal circumstances, she doesn't need to resent the situation. And I believe that Michael is telling the truth about his divorce. During these next 7 months, Dom needs to focus on herself & her baby. Keep up the good work. Sorry if this review is too long.

Her phone call to Trai was bleh. It was so sudden. Like she calls and then hang up. But i dont think she'll be able to keep the truth for him go so long. She can while she's able but it's going to get out somehow unless she yelled him herself which of course Michael probably wouldn't want. Btw, he doesn't even know the dude. I forgot, lol.
The call to John's office, I got nervous a lil bit. But I knew it would be a confidentiality agreement she'd have to sign. Good. Mike ain't crazy to go as low as taking someone's child away from them.
But for him to ask how many months she have left and to finally say that's when he'll be divorced shock the living dead outta me. So he's really gonna divorce Lisa to be with Dee. I think he's saying that because Lisa didn't want to give him any kids so now that Dee is preggers he feels obligated to leave his wife and be with the woman who is having his baby which is resulting in them being together as a 'family'?
No Mike. You're doing too much for me right now.
But I could be wrong. Maybe his actions would speak louder than his words. Maybe his empty promises would now become full promises. Idk. I'm just gonna kick back relax and see everything unfold.
