AAAHHHHH!!!! sorry but this is HUGE!!! i really thought we’d be several more chapters in before this happened, eeek!!! i’m devastated it happened under these circumstances tho, and i truly truly hope gabs makes a full recovery :((( i couldn’t even imagine what jade must be feeling, especially having to find her like that, it’s one of the worst things to ever experience :(

i love how she’s being softly disarmed by michael, with him turning out to be not what she expected, especially considering her expectations from men in general. i’m glad she’s (subconsciously) giving him a chance and hopefully he keeps lowering her defenses & showing her all the ways she’s meant to experience true companionship.

oh she got some kick to her! jade’s funny tho, i understand her frustrations when i have my off days too ???? can’t wait until we get to dive deeper into her past and obviously when she and michael get the chance to *really* meet! great first chapter! looking forward to more! :)

The last part of this chapter had me feeling all sorts of emotions, I had tears by the end.. I’m so glad Michael finally stood up to Joseph and I’m even happier for the unexpected support; he truly needed his father in that moment. Lovely chapter

This is a wonderful story!

I love how human you’ve managed to make both Michael and Jade and the natural progression in their relationship.

Jade is so lovably unlikable in the beginning when we don’t know much about her past, which is so rare in any book (at least in my subjective opinion). It’s a great change of pace and a definite positive in my opinion. Already there’s been a lot of character development and I imagine she is far from done in that department - there’s so much room for it!!!

With that defensive nature of hers, the reader cant fault Michael for not seeing her as a gift from God. In truth it just paints him in a better light because he’s a lot more persistent than most would be. I love there dynamic, and am excited to see how it will change in future chapters.

Also I love that the world in the book is getting bigger. More characters are being introduced along with subplots which makes for a more dynamic environment to explore the main characters in.

Basically I’m saying I for sure am looking forward to reading every chapter until the last and then crying about there not being more.
