Summary:

"Till Death do us part," is what is always said in the vows of marriage. It's true in the sense that the death of your companion would also bring death of your relationship. I know, that sounded a bit depressing, and a bit horrifying actually.

But maybe, this might not always be the case. Perhaps the soul will live on to help the ones in need. Perhaps, the soul willingly stays on Earth because he/she has created an unbreakable bond with a soul from the living.
