His Summit (Original Version)
by J.Decklar (a.k.a. xenedra) 2010
Oh my brilliant, lovely one
I'm grasping onto your joy
I'll hold it tightly all my future days
This essence of what Man destroyed

In this empty studio
...still hear the echo of your breath
a painful memory of the Melody
Forever silenced by your death

In a crazy mystery, and strangest fate
you left behind an everlasting ache
in my soul,
In this devastating wake...

of the mighty fall of a Master,
My Lovely One,
Could they never sense your grace?

The Leechers planned
Brainwashed and tamed you
They took your will
Drug-hazed and played you
and like a moth drawn toward the light...
Coveted your shine, it was too bright!

Yet I feel blessed now
And I feel humbled
I'm so damned sorry
and I feel troubled
I want to know you reached your summit-
And that They didn't keep you from it!

King of desire, magic charisma
Forever resonating joy
Is every memory I've set aside for me
Of the Man, The Music, the Boy

Mesmerizing, Gifted, Tragic Son
Your contradictions wove a path
The mighty Panther Danced with Dominance
Aside the fragile aftermath

The vultures came and then
They drained you
They tore you down
Because they craved to
Like a moth drawn toward the light
Baby, your shine was far too bright

But I feel blessed now
And I feel humbled
And I'm so sorry
My heart is troubled
I want to know you reached your summit
And that they didn't keep you from it

External Pain Internalized
self inflicted breeding endless lies
I watched you self destruct right before my eyes
Became the victim, watched you slowly die

And every shameful mar and flaw
...somehow gave your beauty more
While my love grew, yours was consumed
By the flame of fame, the cross you bore

Their vampire kiss
Drained your youth
Stoned by the guilty
The Media framed you!
Cuz, like a moth drawn toward the light
Your soul was shining was far too bright!

But I feel blessed now
And I feel humbled
I'm so damn angry
My heart is troubled
I need to know you reached your summit
And that the Haters didn't keep you from it!

Just like the faithful ever-true
I kept the solemn vigil too
Our bitter agony and duty
To bear this witness as they killed you!

Invincible, and yet they broke you
A Fallen Idol, sad tale come true
Once gift from God loved by the World
Now Tortured,Twisted by the Cruel

We feel your absence
Like rolling thunder
So many sorry's
Can't help but wonder-
How will we know you reached your summit?
And that they didn't keep you from it!

Oh tell me, was This really It?
I just can't bear the lingering fear
That we only saw a glimpse...

And I'll remember the truth
I'll keep your joy inside me to honor you
I'll take it with me, and I'll give it too
Mirrors reflect the L.O.V.E. was always true

The vultures came...
Tore flesh, they ate you!
They took your crown
Unjustly blamed you
For like a moth drawn toward the light
Your soul was shining far too bright!

I know I'm blessed now
And I'm so humbled
Too have been here to
Witness your struggle
I want to know you reached your summit
And that they didn't keep you from it!

Oh Lovely one, I loved you best
You were the Dance, forever Blessed
I pray you finally feel embraced now
I hope your soul can finally rest
End Notes:
Enjoy.
