Author's Response: Well, I scanned the rest of what I have to post and can say that I was wrong. You really don't have much else to hate Budge for. Don't forget, what I'm going to post next, probably tonight, is the unfinished book. Although, I know what's supposed to happen, we never got it all down in print. So I know the dramatics Budge was about to get into and know that you (in particular) would have been too through with her!

I only keep commenting because I'm so intrigued with this story. I have so many questions...

Are Budge's promiscuous ways when she was in high school the reason why she likes it so rough in bed?

Do they also constitute why she introduced the boyfriend/girlfriend/ spouse swapping? Cause we CANNOT forget that she was giving and receiving on a DAILY basis in high school

Why hasn't Felicia blown Budge out in atleast 1 aspect of life already? It's like she knows that she's always playing second fiddle to Budge, but won't do anything about it...

Why the hell is Budge so damned self-centered?!?! I can admit that it's calmed down dramatically... Please Don't let me regret saying that....lol

I hope Felicia gets bolder/ grows some balls/ puts her big girl panties on and actually gives Budge something to be afraid of now. She needs to knock Budge down and eventually off that pedal stool that she's on, just once, and show Budge that's she's just as bad, if not BADDER than she portrays to be.

Is a blast from the past in the future? Lol, it'd be interesting to see how that would go.

Author's Response: Girl, I luhs you. So bring on the questions and I'll answer them to the best of my abilities. Now, here's some behind the scenes info. Nicole wrote 95% of anything that had to do with Budge. So, anytime one of the guys was thinking/talking about/interacting with Budge, it came from Nicole. So, it's hard for me to really dig into her reasons why, but I'll give it a shot. 1. No, I don't think so. Her ways in high school were more in reaction to Michael's not paying her the attention she wanted. Personally, I thought it was crazy of Budge to hold Michael accountable for his behavior when there was no relationship between them, but I digress. So, according to Nicole, Budge was not aware that she liked the real rough stuff until Jermaine unleaded on her for the first time. Before that, she knew she liked a little spank on the behind now and then, but JerCaveMan showed her a world she wasn't aware of and she loved it. So, in actuality, it's Jermaine who likes to dominate and get into the rough stuff,, but had been holding back because he didn't think Fe could handle it. 2. The swapping was introduced because of pure, stupid, lust. Fe and Michael's cheating was written first as a joke because I told Nicole that if Budge didn't start acting right with Michael that I would have Fe sweep in and take him! Lol I sent her the joke scene, she loved it, and said "Wouldn't it be a crazy twist to have the characters swap and fall in love?" Plus, it was a little nod to the rumors that Jermaine has shared women (willingly and unwillingly) with Jackie, Randy, and even Papa Joe! So, after the one night of cheating and discovering that your best friend's man can rock your body in a way that your own can't, the girls decide that they needed one more time to get it out of their systems. We thought it was more natural to have Budge introduce it and convince Fe because she had always been the more adventurous one. It was also, quite frankly, an attempt to make this fanfic unlike any other we had read so it would stand out. 3. Thank you SO much for liking Fe as much as you do. But the reality is, Fe was ou meant to be a bit character. The story was supposed to be about Budge and Michael. Nicole would send me updates and ask what I thought. One day, she wrote in the Felicia character. After seeing her about twice, I finally asked if Fe was supposed to be me (huge shocker, my name is Felicia lol). She said yes because she appreciates my help. I told her there was no way I was going to let her put words into my mouth. So I jumped in to help. I actually worked pretty hard to keep Fe and J in the background, even when the swapping began. Michael and Budge's adventures were supposed to be at the forefront. But once she urged me to pick a brother for Fe to be with, she started to grow into a main character. Even so, I tried to hold her back. BUT that doesn't mean thatFe didn't dig into Budge's ass a couple of times. When Fe first confessed to Budge about Michael, Nicole wrote Budge breaking Fe down by confessing about Jermaine and then going on about how hurt she was yadda, yadda, yadda. So I went back and had Fe clap back HARD. We finally whittled it down to the argument currently in the story. Also, when Fe goes to Budge's apartment after she cancels the wedding rehearsal, she really stomped all over Budge's feeling by telling her exactly what her problems were. But, that was changed when I performed the big edit. Originally, the girls were strippers, not waitresses. When the guys found out, they were livid and the decision was to "reclaim" their women. What ended up happening went a little (ok a lot) too far and the girls were understandably upset. But Budge, in her usual fashion, played the victim and completely discarded what Fe had gone through. When I saw how Nicole had written it, I went back and had Fe light her up. But Nicole then went on to write more "Victim Budge" and it caused a lot of arguments. So we agreed to majorly change the story and that confrontation scene was watered down a LOT. 4. I can't answer that question, honestly. Once again, Nicole and I had many, many disagreements on Budge's habit of playing the Woe is Me thing. In my opinion, it was ok when she was younger. But I thought she should have matured and changed as she got older. But Nicole kept coming up with more and more reasons why Budge had every right to act the way she does. But she wasn't writing them and that was a problem for me. I didn't agree with the reasons, but I felt that if she wanted the reader to understand Budge, she had to give them those back stories. She never did. Well, she tried once, in the edited info that I mentioned above. There was some PTSD mess that came from something Jermaine had done to Budge's sister Marisol. But I told her that it didn't make sense. If anyone should have had residual effects from that, it should be Marisol. But Marisol had moved on with her life. So Budge was, again, making shit about her when it really wasn't. Plus, it made no sense that Budge could be harboring all this resentment toward J, but then allow him to blow her back out on a regular. 5. Felicia did legitimately scare Budge, at one point, and I had to dial her back. Nicole was afraid that readers would start to feel that Fe and Michael were a better fit. So, even though she insisted that we keep the swapping storyline, she wanted to emphasize that the "extra" wife just be a sometime thing. But, that was partially her own fault. In an effort to show why Budge had every reason to feel like a victim, she wrote Michael's feelings for Felicia intensifying way too early and Budge's feelings for J be nonexistent. That way, Budge could accuse moan about how her man was doing her wrong, yet again, when the swapping was only supposed to be sexy fun. Which was NOT the way the story was supposed to go. So, once again, a big edit to shrink Fe's impact. 6. Not anymore. In the original story, Budge's ex-boyfriend from high school made a brief appearance, but I didn't think that made sense because it was so random. Like, literally, Budge is sitting on a beach in California moping about Michael and the ex shows up. I was like, "Ummm, since when is he on the west coast?" Lol There is a brief appearance by one of Jermaine's many former conquests, but that's it. We had WAY too much soap opera drama planned to need to bring anyone back. Keep the comments coming. I don't mind at all. It just gives me another reason to think back on me and Nicole's convos about this story and laugh. In reading through the next part last night, I actually found bits and pieces of the original story and had a good laugh at the shenanigans we wrote. I may post it as a one off so you can see how intense (both sexually and dramatically) the story used to be.

I have read the two parts and the writing is outstanding standing. I most say the sex scenes are (OMG I'm getting hot just writing about this) so wonderful. 

When I'm reading anything a try to keep an open mind. The swapping girlfriend/boyfriend part was interesting. Having said that the swapping of spouses I don't know? Even after the four have taken most things into consideration there is always something (s) that haven't been. Budge is pregnant and harmonies are out of wack. There is always going to be jealousy. What happens if Budge or Felicia get pregnant, whose the father?

In some sick, twisted way Budge always makes EVERYTHING about herself. Jermaine tells her that he loves her, and it's 'oh! Will Fe be comfortable sharing Jermaine with me?' But forgetting that Michael admitted to loving Felicia. Does she not realize she would have to share Michael too? I just don't get it. And I don't think I ever will. She doesn't seem to realize that Felicia is in the same situation she is.

And I really hope that Felicia can be a mother in the near future. I really feel horrible for her.

I hate to hate Budge because I know that she can do better, have some damn common sense and treat the people around her way better.

Before the edit, the selfishness in Budge was worse and I tried to get Nicole to dial Budge back, but she didn't see a need. Budge isn't all bad. She's just self centered. She'll have your back, but then she needs you to kiss her feet afterward. She'll start some shyt, but then cry foul when it gets out of hand. And it's ok for her to get her thang on with Jermaine, as long as Michael doesn't enjoy Fe too much! That's Budge. High Maintenance.
