This story has such good quality writing! Loved chapters 3 and 4, Michael's shock and pain at finding out who is accusing him, his physical and emotional distress are very well done.

I love the role that Michael's parents are taking in this story. Most stories make Joseph out to be some demon. I'm glad he made him see that doctor. Malania! I see her name and I think of the video game final fantasy X's Malania Temple lol.
I like how calm and compassionate she is. Speaking of people fainting... the average fangirl probably would have fainted at Michael's invitation inside the gate.

To be fair, I don't really feel like Joseph was a demon, I feel like he had misplaced his love for his children; or for Michael. I feel like he measured his success of a parent on the level of MJ's success as a musician. Any child would feel or know that and thus he would have felt estranged, but I bet deep down both of them truly knew that when the time was right for it, Joseph always had his back.
That's my theory, anyway! For whatever its worth, lol!
Malania is a name I've heard around in my family of distant relatives and of a long-time-passed Eastern European friend. I love it :)

I love the realistic qualities this fic has: the walking employees, the panic attacks, vomting, etc...it's very well written and thought out.
i'm interested to see how things develop between Malania and Michael and how quickly...will we get more backstory on Casey and Diana, I wonder?? I guess I should just keep reading haha...

Jeez. I come back from a meeting only to find another gift. Keep this up and I may overcome my avoidance of work meetings.
Diane: How did I guess that Michael had turned down her advances? You are really playing on my feelings towards the past IRL accusations.
Joseph: This Joseph has me tripping out. When he was referred to as "dad", I about choked. This makes me wonder what he was like during the trial....
Malania: yayyy she's back. I've been hoping that she'd be the lead. I'm so used to stories being told from a third person perspective or OG perspective, that having Michael be the lead is throwing me a bit. Will you be alternating perspectives in the future? I am definitely enjoying it being from MJ's perspective 
Michael: His invitation for Malania to come in? I think I melted. He still managed to be thoughtful even in his most trying times.
So a few minutes with this girl and he's preparing to eat and drink?
