@skywriter: You had me crying with your response..lol... Thanks for the answer because I also think it is a bunch of bullshit for some one to claim that Michael approved fan fictions and all genres.. Lol.. You are absolutely right.. When would he have had time ? ... Thanks for answering my question... I am going to call her bluff on that one...

Author's Response:

Her posts seem to have that side effect.  Definitely push for a legitimate source. If she references more second or third hand knowledge, I'd be skeptical. Some people are very honest, but a lot are colorful and gloss over important details.

I felt kind of awkward writing my first sex scene and I still kind of do so thanks for this segment!

Author's Response:

Hope it helps!

@Coco & @RedOne

What we do know is that Michael did visit some Michael Jackson forums and we found that out around the time of the trial.

The person who suggests MJ had a list of approved stories is a complete dick. As if Michael went through a fan fiction section on (which??) a website and read rifled through a bunch of questionable fan fictions until he found some that suited his interests. As if he had time (or would even make time) for something stupid like that.

Its my very educated guess that he would have known about them, I am sure a fan has told him (or even gifted him one) about them at some point -- but as for him saying YES YOU MAY CONTINUE THIS ONE, IT IS RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS, I call absolute bullshit.

Author's Response:

Thanks for chiming in. I'd thought so......it seems too convenient. I can imagine Michael going what the

Ah, thank you. It was pretty intense. It's not often these days that they permit someone to skip grades, especially more than one, but my situation was kind of weird. I wish this site had PM functionality. I mean there is a Contact Author option, but eh. It's a long explanation, and I don't want to derail the subject of your reviews further xD If you're interested, though, I'd be happy to explain.

Yes, agreed.

You're very welcome :) I'll see what other topics I can think of that would be helpful covering in your series.

Author's Response:

If you want to post your email, I'll delete it asap and email you.

@ Redone: Sorry for the mistakes in my last post.. I was typing on my smart phone and I was typing a mile a minute and  I was trying to get the thoughts out of my head.lol  I just hit submit before checking.. But I am glad you understood what I was trying to say.

I dont know where she got that from. I dont know who is her resource. But I have never heard of it myself. Maybe I can ask her where she heard that but she probably might become very defensive.. But i don't care..  I have my other ways to find out information. I will let you know if and when I hear anything...

Author's Response:

LOL. np! I followed. I'm curious. Maybe @Skywriter would know?

I have a question .... Did Michael approve of fan fictions? Was he aware of this underground movement? Is there any truth to him approving of fan fictions? I am asking this there is someone claiming that officially approved fan fictions.. This is being said by fan who is currently a fan fiction (btw: she is writes herself as the lead woman/romantic interest in the story. Rolls eyes) I do not read her story because of that reason and she throws a bitch fit whenever someone criticizes her work or doesn't agree with her...  I have never heard that Michael knew about the MJ fan fic world or that he approved...

Author's Response:

Anecdotally, I've heard that they made him uncomfortable, but that he wasn't very opposed to them. Now, is that fact? No. That's heresay. Who said that? I'd love to find their resource.

How foolish of me for thinking the grass would be greener on the other side. I'd say the set up is a bit more sophisticated than here and I think the admins have some good ideas, I just think they need more members or something. But things haven't been too bad here lately I just really get annoyed with this place sometimes.

I would once again agree with you it just really sucks when it seems every one else in in a relationship and you're not. It makes you think: "What's wrong with me?" and peer pressure really doesn't help at all. And yes, having a serious relationship under he age of 17 is a bit alarming.

Author's Response:

I think change is both good and bad. I'm not going to say it is a horrible site, because it isn't. It has the potential to be a great site, I just had a really negative experience.  That doesn't mean everyone will, I'm just very wary.

I feel ya on MJF. RPs, "Kik me", and "so today I...." threads make me want to close the window.

Peer pressure will be there about one thing or another, your entire life.

Lmaooo I just read SkyWriters review about the bayonet penis. And Im in legit tears. It made me remember a fic I read recently where Michael was standing behind the OG hugging her from the back then some how his mouth was trying to move her dress to the side to get to her nipple. I was like is he a giraffe or is he going in under her arm. The mechanics was very baffling. <333

Author's Response:

That was me this morning when I saw her comment.

I think we read the same fic....... I love when he also grows a third hand. That's always pretty amazing. That and when they are able to keep their lips locked while reaching in all different (opposing) directions. That's some giraffe skills right there.

@ Redone: The MJ Fan Fic site which led me to this site is called Dangerous PYT.Com. My favorite couple on her site is Lexi and Michael. However her story first being with Hunter and Michael, and then it progresses to Michael and Lexi. I discovered her site in 2011 just searching the internet for Michael Fan Fictions and her site was the first one I saw. Back in 1996, I used to read fan fics on a site called MJJ Novels( no longer in existence. Dangerous PYT is an awesome writer. OMJ!! That's all I am going to say.  I cannot handle any more fan fics sites at the moment because I am consumed with her site and this site so I am good for now..lol

Author's Response:

Oh, thanks. I started the Lexi and Michael one a while back.  So many of the sites are no longer in existence. Steady-Laughing, the older MJEOL and KOP, Neverland Nights, to name a few.

So many stories lost :(

Once I read a fan fic where Michael has sex with a sweet virginal fan and he does her over two cinema seats (not side by side but in front of the other) and aside from the fact that I couldn't figure out the mechanics of that, she bled a lot.

Like, a lot a lot

Like, think of his dick as a bayonet, and that's how much she apparently bled after her first time.

This draws me to the conclusion that the reader had never had sex before -- much less seen a penis either face to face (or erm, penis) or even a picture in a magazine.

Not only this, but there was a scene where she's on her period and uses a pad and Michael wants her (wtf?) to use a tampon and he helps her put it in and at a certain point helps her slide it out.

And yanno, I love my partner but if he ever tried to dictate what sanitary item I decide to use, I'd dump him and his bayonet penis on the spot.

And.... obviously I read a lot of it, because I am here to share it with you all... It was entertaining to say the least.

I love this post, @RedOne :)

Author's Response:

W....T.....F.... I'm laughing so hard that tears are threatening to flow. What story was this?  And I think you meant "a penis either face to face (or erm, vagina)" unless it was a slash story....in which case it would still not be "penis".  Yeah, I thought too much about that sentence.

He helped her put in a tampon? I really must know the name of this story.  It sounds vaguely familiar.

As to your partner - I'd dump him if his penis was a bayonet regardless of how much I loved him. Now that is one euphemism I do not want to see in any fanfic.

Gracias Señorita SkyWriter

I completely agree with everything you said relating to this topic. Ugh, sometimes all it takes to ruin a story is a sex scene written in poor taste or bad form. I've been wanting to start my own Michael fanfic, but I don't know if I want to make that commitment as of yet. If I do, though, writing the sex scenes would be the most difficult part for me, largely for reasons others have stated already.

I just turned 18 two months ago and I have never had a boyfriend, but I've been in univeristy for two years now fulfilling requirements to embark on medical school. It's really awkward because everyone around me is older and engaging in romantic relationships. People expect that once you hit university, you'll become interested in seeking out a partner, but I feel apprehensive about taking part in the whole dating scene. I feel older than my age in many ways, but romance is definitely not one of them. If I were to take time to write out a fanfiction, these tips would definitely help!

I think the three stories I've read that have had the best grasp on sex scenes are "A Dream Deferred" by JackAusten over at the A Dream Deferred forum, "When I Come of Age" by phoenix over at the CrazyOverMJ board, and "Morphine" by KiyaMJJ also on the CrazyOverMJ board.

Author's Response:

Morphine is good. WICOA is very well written and much more realistic. The most realistic is ADD and ADTD. I'm glad that she reopened the board. I hope that means there will be updates in the coming few months. I wish half the people who followed that story would comment in there. I think that would help.

If you are unsure, my suggestion would be this: Write until you have a few chapters, then find a beta reader. Someone who reads MJ FF and who you believe can give you an honest opinion/helpful advice. Ask them to look over it. Now, why a few chapters? Because I'd suggest at the very least, posting the first few chapters at a staggered pace (every day/other day/3 days) so that people get a sense that you will be consistent.

Are you US based and just skipped a few grades? We all mature at different rates in different domains. It sounds like you've matured faster intellectually and with regard to your "rational mind". That's cool. There is nothing wrong with that. Rock that and have pride in it. When your interest is there and you want to put the same effort into building a relationship, you always can. The dating scene is tricky....I'd hazard to say it's tricky for most people, and particularly intellectuals who are more introverted.

Author's Response:

Do you prefer short fics, long stories, one shots? :)

Redone:  I do not have a preference I love them all. The story has to grip me within the first few sentences.  There are a few  authors on here that write really good one shorts and short fics. But to answer your queston, I do not have a preference in the format of the stories. :)  There is another site  that I go to  where I am currently reading another story. That site led to me this site, and it took me awhile to find any good stories on this site. Then one day, it just happened, I came across this really great story on this site  from a particular author on this site, and after one chapter I was hooked on her stories. She is really talented writer in my opinion and there arent too many on this site. She is one of the few rare gems on this site. MJ Fan Fictions have helped me to cope with Michael death and has made the grieving process easier and allows me to keep Michael alive in my heart. I have been readng fan fictions since 1996. I took a break, well that site disappeared, and came across a MJ Fan Fic Story in 2011, after coming across that site, I became entralled and immersed in the world of MJ Fan Fictions.   But I have chewed your ear off enough so I will end here.

Author's Response:

I enjoy hearing people's stories as to how they got into MJ fan fic and/or how they ended up here. I'm always interested in knowing about other MJ FF sites.

You're not at Xscape anymore? I didn't even notice. It's been pretty dead there lately. I hope more members join.

Practice is a good idea. And again, it all goes back to research. I don't doubt a virgin can write a nice sex scene I just doubt this virgin can! Once I get older ( and possibly experience), I'm sure I'll become more comfortable with writing one.I think that when the characters are at a point where they really truly love one another and they've made that clear to each other then yeah, I say go for the sex. But if the characters just met or just got together and the story is only six chapters in, it's definitely too early for them to be having sex.

I totally agree with you. It would seem rather childish for adults to be in a relationship that does not include sex. And lol! Some readers have told me I've teased them by writing the build up and then skipping the scene.

Again you're very right. I'm 18 years old and have never had a boyfriend (sad I know) so when it comes to sexuality and intimacy it's kind of like "Um, this is very awkward..." I know for sure when I do embark on relationships of my own, I'll feel more comfortable with things like that but I'm not sure I'll ever get used to those words.

I think it's definitely the highlights of emotion and the expression of love and intimacy between the couple that Picoult captures that fan fic writers lack in their scenes. You can really tell that the characters love each other and feel some type of connection. It's not just "I'm horny right now and need to release some tension" like many fan fic writers portray. Jodi Picoult makes the difference between "making love" and "having sex" obvious.

Author's Response:

Damn, then it's very dead. Yes, I left.  I can't stand behind the direction it is going. It's sad :/

I like that you are listening to yourself on this :) Also, a lot of girls don't have their first bf until college or after, so while I doubt you are "happy" that you haven't had one, I wouldn't call it remotely sad. We all reach that stage of life on our own timetable.  When girls (or guys for that matter) list their first "real" gf/bf at an early age, I find it concerning. Children are maturing faster and faster these days.

Oh it was just a random number! Haha, but I have read stories where the sex between Michael and the OG are frequent and when I say frequent I mean FREQUENT. It was like where you talk about it having no plot. For example the couple had went through some major drama and within that drama, BAM, theres a sex scene. No plot at all, didn't tie into the drama that was currently going on, and didnt have any relevance. It was just there and it made things slightly awkward.

Someone in these reviews talk about the readers pressuring the author to write a sex scene, yes! Some of my favorite authors have been pressured and then when they write it the readers who were doing the pressuring aren't satisfied. That ticks me off and im not even the one who wrote it which is a shame.

Now the pregnancy stuff, I agree. Its unrealistic and makes me role my eyes. One thing that always gets me is that the author will include the fact that they didn't have a condom, i instantly know then that theyre insinuating pregnancy. But thats just to me.

I also feel thst the author doesn't have to give a play by play of what goes on in a sex scene every time they write one. I would be perfectly satisfied with a simple foreplay and then a nice little cut off. Every now and again a full detailrd sex scene would be nice but IMO I feel like its not needed EVERY sex scene.

Author's Response:

LOL. Okay. I know the kinds of stories you are talking about. Please email me the specific stories you are referring to. I'm curious.

Yeah, I can only think of one or two stories in which no condom did not equal pregnancy.

I definitely agree - it isn't needed every seen. I'd suggest alluding to sex just as often as one details it.

I am  a reader not a writer on this site and quite frankly I live for the sex scenes in an mj fan fic.. The naughtier the better and if the story does not contain any sex scenes well guess what I am  not interested in the story. I have no objection to dirty words  used during the act. As matter of fact one of my favorite (if not favorite author) writes excellent sex scenes in her stories. So I guess I am spoiled.. I am extremely visual and that sex scene that  an author creates has to make me explode and crave for more. I need to visualize said scene in my brain. I do not need subtle sex scenes.. I cannot write a sex scene to save my life but I admire those who can..
