Summary:

"Keith, are you sure this is the place? It looks kinda... creepy", I said nervously to my fiance. "Yeah, this the place. Dude that gave it to me told me him and some of his friends gone come by and fix it up. We'll be fine till then," he said looking at the house closely. Keith and I had just gotten engaged. We were both 22 years old and needed a place to stay until we got real jobs and got money to buy a better house. Keith talked to a guy who gave us the house for free, since we were soon to be newlyweds. It didn't feel right to me but if anybody sold us a house for free, I'm down for it. Me and Keith got out of our car and started walkng towards the house. I stopped sometimes because I didn't like the house at all, but Keith kept telling me that everything was going to be ok. When we made it to the door Keith knocked on it. "Hello? Anybody in there?" hen nobody answered, Keith knocked harder than the last time and the door opened up slowly, creaking as it did. Keith grabbed my hand and tried to take me into the house, but I didn't budge. I was too terrified. He looked at me and smiled. "Come on Hannah. I'm right beside you. I'm not gonna let anything hurt you." He kissed me on my cheek. I smiled since that made me feel alittle better. He smiled and we started walking in the house.
As we were walking, I took in every single thing I saw. This place is a mess. I thought to myself. The floors were dirty and made noises everytime we took a step, the furniture was covered in spider webs and bugs, and I pictures on the wall were torn and dusty. It wasn't a pretty site. Keith and I kept walking until a bird flew by our heads, nearly hitting our faces. "Keith, I don't like this at all, maybe we should come back when someone is here." Keith shook his head. "Hannah, you gotta stop being so scared. Hell, man up. I'm not gonna marry you if you don't stop this 'I'm scary' shit." I looked at him with my eyebrows arched upward. "Listen, I don't have to marry a man who thinks it's ok to curse out his fiance. I ain't got to marry you," I said rolling my eyes. Keith smirked and pecked me on my lips. "That's the girl I know and love." I smiled and laughed alittle. He always knew how to make the hood in me come out.
We walked alittle further until a saw a room. I stopped walking, which caused Keith to look at me. "Keith, look at this." I said looking at the room, amazed. He looked into the room. "All I see is a dust ole' room." I give him a look and said, "No, it kinda looks like a ballroom, well it looked like a ballroom. Keith think. If we tidy this room up, we can have a ballroom. Someplace me and you can dance together in." I said imagining how this place could look. " He looked at me and could see the sparkle in my eye. He smiled alittle and said, "Yeah, we could do that. Come on, let's see the rest of the house." He pulled my arm so we could continue walking. I smiled and wrapped my arm around his arm, and layed my head on his shoulder. I think we could be a happy married couple.
We kept walking in silence until Keith said, "Man, who used to own this house? Must've been someone who was running a scary freak circus. I suddenly felt a certain presence around me. It felt like me and Keith wern't the only ones in this house. I ignored it and replied to Keith's remark, "That's not very nice Keith. I think this place could've been beautiful. It's alittle run down but I thi-" "Alittle run down Hannah, this place looks like a piece of shit. Some kind of freak must've lived here. Running a freak show around here." He laughed but it was suddenly replaced by a painful yell. I looked up at Keith to see him holding his face like someone had slapped him. He removed his hand and I could see a slight red hand print on his cheek. I gasped. I placed my hand over it to see if I had slapped in without knowing, but the hand-print was bigger than my hand. Keith started looking around to see if someone else was in the house. "What the hell was that? Hannah, did you slap me?" I shook my head. "No, my hand is smaller than the hand-print", I confessed. He stared at me. I think he was as confused as I was. "I'm gonna find a bathroom to see the mark. You just look upstairs and see what you can find. I'll be back." I was about to protest but he had already turned the corner. So he's just gonna leave his poor fiance, by herself, in this big, scary ass house? I'll get for that later.
I walked over to the staircase and looked at them for a minute. They do not look safe at all. I slowly walk up them. They creaked wwhen I stepped on them, but they didn't break, thank God. When I made it to the next floor, all that I say was a long hallway with two doors and both sides. I decided to go down the lift side. When I approched the door, it looked to be a big black door. It didn't have a knob so I just reached my hand out and pushed it alittle. It opened up slowly. I walked closer to the door and squinted my eyes so I could see through the opened part of the door. It was too dark for me to see so I pushed the door wider so I could slid through it. I looked around the room for a switch, but couldn't find one. I gave up looking and headed towards the door. When I was about to walk out, the lights flickered on by themselves. I turned around quickl to see how it happened. I started to freak out. I felt like I was in that Haunted Mansion movie with Eddie Murphy.
I looked around the room to see only three things. I chair, a bed, and a piano. This room seemed very empty. The bed was gray and old looking, the chair was a regular rocking chair, and the piano looked like one of those pianos you'd find at church. I slowly walked over to the piano. I placed my fingers over the keys and rubbed them softly. I pressed down on one and the sound came out soft and soothing. I smiled when I heard the sound. I suddenly saw the piano move alittle. I lid on the back of the piano moved up and down. I slowly put my hands on the bottom of the lid and quickly lifted it up. I looked around in it, but didn't see anything. Then something jumped out of the piano, and it was a black cat. I gasped alittle wen it jumped out. It stood infront of me and stared at me like a lion would stare at it's prey. It slowly started to walk towards me. I didn't move because I didn't know what this cat was gonna do. I slowly made it's way towards me and circled around my legs, rubbing itself against me. I slowly reached down and rubbed its head. it purred and rubbed itself more against me. I reached down and picked it up. It didn't look like any other cat I've seen before. It had blue eyes and it had a blue mark around it's left eye. It kinda scared me alittle. I carried it over to the bed and' I sat down on it and put the cat on my lap. I scratched it's head. I started to think about what had happened to Keith when he started talking about freaks living in this house. And how he got slapped in the face by.... nothing. I then realized that Keith still hadn't made it back. I wonder if he was okay.
"What the hell are you doing?". My thoughts were interrupted by a voice, and it wasn't Keith. I looked up to see a man in a white shirt and black bottoms. His hair was black and long. His big brown eyes hipnotized me. I couldn't belive how beautiful this man looked. He was staring at me like I had done something wrong. "What are you doing I asked", he repeated more sternly. I couldn't speak. The cat had jumped off my lap and ran to the mystery man. It hid behind him. I finally found my voice and said, "I s-should be asking y-you that." The man arched his eyebrow up and said, "This is my house. I believe I should be asking the questions." Wait. Did he say his house? "Wait, this isn't your house. My fiance bought this house." The mystery man walked slowly towards me. I suddenly felt a presence. That same presence I felt before Keith got hurt. I got out of the bed and started backing away from him. I backed up againts the wall. He got in my face. I could smell his cologne and feel his breath on me. He stared at me at what felt like decades. He looked down at my lips then back at my eyes. He smirked and walked away. He sat on the bed and said, "So, someone sold you my house? Isn't that something. You said you're fiance is here. Where is he?" I blinked a couple of times. Did this man really want to start a conversation with me like were close friends? I shook my head and replied, "Yes. My fiance is here." He snapped his fingers and the blue eyed cat jumped in the bed beside him. The mystery man patted the cat and asked, "I bet you're wondering who I am, aren't you?" I rolled my eyes, "What do you think, dude." He smirked at me, "The name's Michael, dude." he replied cocky like. I glared at him and started towards the door. As I was about to walk out Keith was making his way over towards me. "Hey babe, what did you find?" I didn't want to tell him about Michael, but I wanted Keith to kick his cocky ass. "Keith, there's a man who claims to own this house." Keith gave me a confused look. "A man who claims this house. Who?" I turned to show him Michael sitting on the bed, but didn't see anyone there.
"Oh my God. He was just here." I said panicing. Keith looked at me like I was crazy and replied, "Babe, I don't see anything. Maybe you're just seeing things. We'll take you to the hospital later, but right now I'm starving. I'm gonna go out and get some chinese food. Want some?" I didn't hear Keith because I was so busy tryig to figure out where the hell was Michael. He was Just there. I was interrupted by someone snapping their fingers in my face. I looked up to see it was Keith. "Hannah, do you or do you not want food." I just nodded. I couldn't speak. He leaned down and pecked my lips. "Okay, I'll be back in a few minutes." He walked away. I was still thinking about Michael. How can someone so beautiful just dissapear like that. I shook my head maybe I am seeing things. I walked back in the room and saw Michael sitting in the rocking chair. "Wow, your fiance seems abit, rude, don't you think?" I didn't say anything because I had fainted.
