My name is Dr. Michael Joseph Jackson.
I am a highly trained mental health specialist; a psychiatrist, if you will. I have become my father's successor. Now I run the very psychiatric hospital that he ran. The hospital, which is one of the best in Europe, bears our name. Most have called our happy little home Jackson Mental Institution, or JMI for short. You can tell my father had no idea for a proper name, but it's still a name I look up to. I guess you would say that my interest in taking over my father's business came from my high interest in helping as much people as I possibly could, and what better way than psychology. This facility aims at children, adolescents, and young adults.
But... taking this job had some regrets. My wife had hated what I was doing, so she divorced me, and she took our daughter away from me. I was able to see her sometimes, but not too often, as I wished.
About a year ago, I collected a patient who I will say has made me look at things a little darker than they should be. She had been going to a doctor who had done little to help her. She is now 16 years old, and I am concerned that if I don't tighten all chains, she's going to die.
She had been haunted and terrorized, as we discovered, by her dead ex-boyfriend, who absolutely refused to let anyone help or love her. We still don't know why he would attack her if he should've attacked the ones helping her. Maybe he wanted her to learn something, but she has not fully disclosed the information about that with me yet. Not soon after, he picked a partner, who had died suddenly, in his unit here. Now, both of them were tormenting her, bless her heart. I've made it my goal to see her happy and healthy again, physically and mentally. She's like another daughter to me, and there's this bond that we have that surpasses patient/doctor. Apparently, this is evident, but I don't let it bother me, or get in the way of my practice. I'm here to help, and that's what I'm doing.
They have not come back in a due's time, but she had been experiencing some loss of words, and she had stopped eating, unless someone forced her to, but it was still not enough. I would've never thought that we'd be a harbor for negative spirits. If you ask me, it's not fun, and I want it to cease.
Why don't you come and look into our little home, eh? Think you need "help"? Don't worry. We won't hurt you.
